Answer:	I would say that are more of a water resistant. The toe and heel are definitely is but one you start getting to the ankle area the material is kind of mesh and water can seep through. Answer:	I put waterproofing on mine. You can't stand in water and the material part will still get wet in snow and rain but the trade off is that they breathe. I wear them as 3 season boots. The tread is pretty good on ice. I have had 3 different brands including waterproof and composite toe and these stand up as well as the others.

I use this one in my kayak, it floats but I nevertheless drilled a hole in the very end to put a permanent lanyard on it lest I lose it like so many things that can fall off a small fishing kayak. Answer:	21"-perfect size to carry in my kayak. I have had mine for several years now and holding up well. Have netted 30+ inch redfish with it, tail hanging over obviously, but still able to manage it. I drilled a hole in the handle end and put a parachute cord loop to keep it secure as things tend to fall out of kayaks from time-to-time. Was kind of hard to thread through but worked out quite well.
