Answer:	I don't know if the pro's serrated tips are deeper but they have enough bite to cut through even artisan breads with a pretty hard crust. In terms of sharpening, you usually can get knives sharpened either at a fabric store (the ones in our area send them out along with the scissors) or at least here, a hardware and lumber store also will send them out to have them sharpened. We used to have a store in the mall that sold good knives and they'd also sharpen them but it is no longer there. I don't know what the availability in your area may be.
