Answer:	I own both, and the support is not the same. The Pro is a much thicker,bulkier mat, while the X is much thinner and lighter. The grips are roughly equivalent, but the X - while a very good mat - is otherwise Pro Lite. The X is also less cumbersome to carry and fold and fits better in the trunk of my car.

Answer:	Yes, I like this mat a lot. The only downside is that is get a super slippery if your hands get sweaty.

Answer:	We do not recommend this mat for daily use as it is very thin and will wear more quickly. It is designed for use for traveling, and can be used over another mat, or used directly on the floor.

Question:	What is the best type/brand salt and brush to use for "breaking in" this mat
Answer:	Mine was really slippery when I first got it. Did the salt thing and the vinegar thing. Customer service was very helpful. It's not as slippery now - just a teensy bit so. Friends who have these mats have had them for years and swear by them. So they probably get better gripping power the more you use them.
Question:	Why is this SO slippery
Answer:	The according to Manduka the pro series will not absorb any cleanser. It recommends 1:1 ratio of vinegar to water, which is what I use and works really well for me. I do not recommend using soap (even Dr. Bs) as you should probably rinse after. The manduka website states if you use a store bought cleaner you should thoroughly rinse after.

Answer:	I've had it for a few months now but I don't recall am overwhelming odor. I'm sensitive to odors also.

Using vinegar is more economical. If you practice yoga a lot , you will have a lot of mat cleanings to do. Vinegar is safer since it is human food grade. We recommend to use vinegar and water mixed solution (ratio 1:20) to clean our mats.
