I have only had it for a short period of time so I couldn't vouch for staying power of the battery. Answer:	I had the same question. I thought I had seen slightly different numbers for non-reflective targets but now I can't find that article. Answer:	YES slope is important if you are getting a rangefinder to really get accurate distances to the pin for golf!! If you play a hole that the tee box is up higher than the green, there will be a difference in the distance your ball travels. Let's say the pin is 130 yards away but the slop is 10 degrees lower, the slope reading will tell you it is 130 to the pin but will play as if it were 117 yards away! That can entirely change your club selection and swing speed! So, if you are looking for a rangefinder to really start getting more accurate with distances of ball hits, the slope is a much more accurate reading for all holes that aren't dead even in elevation. The mode is illegal for tournament play, however all your practice rounds and experience with this feature will really help you understand for yourself how slope plays into the distance your ball will travel, and you will start to get a better "feel" for slope variations even without using this feature for tournament play. So it is still an excellent feature to improve the accuracy of your golf game!

Question:	Does it come with a diopter adjustment function? Is this range finder rechargeable
Answer:	Stand-alone, there are 8 "ballistic groups" integrated into the unit software... including 1 for a 400 gr. muzzleloader projectile and 1 for a 400 grain c-bow bolt. A "group list" can be downloaded from Sig's website. These groups cover various relatively "popular" cartridges, with their bullet weight, construction (B.C.), and velocity, determining which group they appear in (group 1= flattest shooting, group 6= most arc). So... if your preferred round matches one of those selected, it should give you a "reasonably accurate" sighting solution. If your round isn't listed, or the muzzle velocity doesn't match... all bets are off! Any pre-programmed parameter that doesn't match with your actual rifle/cartridge combination (especially bullet and velocity) impacts how useful the ballistic groups are for your purposes...sometimes significantly so, and... increasingly evident as range-to-target increases! Unfortunately...for me on a personal basis, there are relatively FEW listings that I might actually use in a pinch, because much of what I shoot or reload isn't there to pick from. BUT... using the Sig APP (loaded to your smartphone or tablet) allows you to select your projectile and caliber from a reasonably large "library" of projectiles, and input your ACTUAL MUZZLE VELOCITY (as measured by a chronograph), along with wind, temp., and altitude environmentals which the APP uses to calculate a "more accurate" solution. You can also "modify" the listed G1/G7 B.C. for a given projectile based on your own observations when your needs involve shooting at various known distances. Using your phone or tablet's bluetooth, the APP determined sighting solution can then be exported to the rangefinder (also allowing it to then interface with a Sig BDX scope if desired). This "customized" info greatly improves the rangefinder's ability to display an accurate "holdover/holdunder" amount...based upon the "zero" sight-in distance you've supplied. It will be available on the rangefinder until you replace it with a new cartridge/bullet combination. The APP though can store 25 such "custom" combinations that you input into the APP, each available to be sent over to the rangefinder when needed. The APP can calculate a sighting solution for up to an 800 yard distance. Remember though...For best results you MUST know the ACTUAL muzzle velocity for the selected cartridge combination you will be firing in your specific firearm! An incorrect "guess" at this results in an ever increasing point-of-impact error as target distance increases. To be clear... you use the APP to transfer a custom set of data to the rangefinder... at that point the APP's job is done, and no further interface with your phone or tablet is needed until you later choose to change to a different cartridge data set. Bottom line... Sig's included product documentation is PATHETIC based on the cost of this unit. You can however download (and PRINT like I prefer) a complete user manual and separate ballistic group chart from the Sig website. I am however, VERY PLEASED with the PERFORMANCE of this rangefinder (compared to others I own). Its ability to take a distance reading at DISTANCE, and export a sighting solution directly to my Sig BDX scope (which then shows actual vertical holdover and windage hold-off points on the scope reticle), puts this rangefinder in a class of its own. And as a "standalone" rangefinder, it would still be my pick based upon its ability to receive "custom instruction" from the APP...like having an infinite number of BDC scope turrets, with windage correction thrown in as well!

Answer:	Vortex just states that it is waterproof. It does not state how waterproof. I have used one all year in the Wyoming mountains in rain, snow,Ice and dust. I have not had any problems. It actually ranges through falling snow where my Sig rangefinder didn't.

Slope Compensation

Answer:	This rangefinder is hole to hole and shot to shot. It measures from where your ball is to the flag stick. It can measure the slope as well so you really get a true reading of actual distance. I am pleased with this range finder.

MODE 1：Range Measure+Height Measure+Scan Mode

In default, short press the "Power" button after targeting, the real horizontal distance and height will be displayed on the LCD

Scan: Hold down "Power" button while ranging to activate the continuous scan measurement, the real distance data on the LCD will be change as your move.

MODE 2: Golf mode with PinSeeker technology

Shortly Press MODE button switch to Golf scan MODE, keep holding down the power button and aiming around flag or across from background to flag, when the flag distance is locked, the machine will vibrate automatically.
