I have mine on polished marble 12-inch tiles and glass and they work great, but you still need to check them before each use of the shower (they each have good indicators that the suction is still intact) as they frequently lose suction over a period of days and have to be reset (a simple task).

Answer:	Microsuede, works well at hot yoga to absorb all of the sweat.

Answer:	Yes, I use my towel for Bikram. It is far better than a regular bath/pool towel (which I was using previously). I wouldn't say that it grips the yoga mat but in certainly slips much less than other towels.
