2 best home treadmills
Home treadmills are exercise machines designed for indoor cardio training and fitness. They provide a convenient way to engage in walking, jogging, or running exercises without leaving the comfort of your home. Here's what you should know about home treadmills:
Basic Functionality: A home treadmill consists of a motorized conveyor belt that you can walk, jog, or run on. The speed and incline of the treadmill are adjustable to simulate different exercise intensities and terrain.
Cardiovascular Exercise: Treadmills are primarily used for cardiovascular workouts, which help improve heart health, burn calories, and enhance endurance. They are popular choices for both beginners and experienced fitness enthusiasts.
Types of Treadmills:
- Manual Treadmills: These treadmills are self-powered, meaning you have to move the belt with your own effort. They are generally less expensive and require more physical exertion.
- Motorized Treadmills: Motorized treadmills have a built-in motor that powers the belt, allowing you to adjust the speed and incline electronically. These are more common for home use due to their ease of use and various features.
Foldable and Non-Foldable: Many home treadmills are designed to be foldable, making them suitable for smaller spaces. Foldable treadmills can be conveniently stored when not in use.
Features and Controls: Modern home treadmills come equipped with various features such as preset workout programs, heart rate monitors, speed and incline controls, and LCD screens displaying workout data like time, distance, and calories burned.
Safety: Treadmills typically have safety features like emergency stop buttons and safety clips that can be attached to your clothing. These are crucial for ensuring your safety during workouts.
Incline Function: Adjustable incline levels simulate uphill terrain and can intensify your workouts, targeting different muscle groups and increasing calorie burn.
Weight Capacity: It's important to check the weight capacity of the treadmill to ensure it can support your body weight safely.
Maintenance: Treadmills require some maintenance, including regular cleaning, lubrication of the belt, and inspection of the motor and other components. Proper maintenance helps extend the lifespan of the treadmill.
Price Range: Home treadmills come in a wide range of prices, from budget-friendly options to high-end models with advanced features. The cost often correlates with the treadmill's build quality, motor power, and features.
Space and Noise Considerations: Before purchasing a treadmill, consider the available space in your home and the noise level it generates during operation, especially if you have neighbors or family members in close proximity.
Warranty: Check the warranty provided by the manufacturer.A longer warranty period can give you peace of mind regarding potential repairs or replacements.
In conclusion, home treadmills offer a convenient and effective way to improve cardiovascular fitness and overall health from the comfort of your home. When selecting a treadmill, consider your fitness goals, available space, budget, and the features that best suit your workout preferences. Regular use of a treadmill can contribute to a healthier and more active lifestyle.

User questions & answers
Question: | Trabaja si cancelo la subscripcion a Ifit |
Answer: | Push the iFit button for 30 seconds to skip the iFit registration process and start using the treadmill immediately. |
Question: | Trying to decide between this and the Horizon T-101. Anyone have any experience with both units |
Answer: | I am not sure about the Horizon but I purchased this treadmill in April and have had multiple issues. #1 I received it with a non working incline motor. I contacted their terrible customer service about this and they said because I got the warranty they would send out a repairman to replace it. It took 2 months and a few times of me contacting them through chat, email and phone and I finally randomly received a replacement motor in the mail. However, I ended up having to figure out how to replace the motor myself (which was super hard to do) because they didn't send out a repairman. Issue #2 One of the metal pieces that is connected to the lower platform that makes the treadmill incline busted off. I contacted the chat and the agent ended up putting in a request for a replacement treadmill for me. Well that was over a month ago and have still heard nothing back. I've called and emailed them multiple times and was not able to get ahold of them since. I tried the chat and the agent said it's taking longer because of Corona. Really? Over a month and not even an email updating me of the situation? I actually just tried calling today and was on hold for over 40 minutes and ended up just hanging up. I've had this treadmill since April and it's been one headache after the next. I even paid for the premium extended full from head to tippy toe warranty and they are treating me like garbage. Overall, this treadmill can be good but it is cheaply made and the customer service massively SUCKS, BAD. I might try the Horizon treadmill if I were you. Just my opinion though. Oh, and avoid the iFit. Not worth the price. You do get a free year of it though. |
Question: | Can you enter your weight |
Answer: | No. You can't enter your weight for customized settings. |
Question: | Approximately how many coats can I hang on this when I decide to never use it |
Answer: | Up to 300# of coats or other clothing. |

User questions & answers
Question: | what are the 3 manual incline position? also what are the dimensions when folded and the 9 workout programs |
Answer: | If you are looking for a machine with significant incline, this is NOT the machine for you. The three positions are basically 1) perfectly flat; 2) very slight incline; and 3) just a smidge more of an incline than #2.This treadmill still takes up a good amount of space when folded as it stands up tall when folded and the running board still sticks out at about a 60 degree angle. This is not a treadmill that can be stored under a bed.The 9 workout programs are quite varied and should accommodate most needs. One really great feature of this treadmill is the ability to manually increase and decrease speed using well-placed buttons on the right hand rest. |
Question: | Is it easy to move out of the way or is it too heavy to do that |
Answer: | It is easy to move out of the way. |
Question: | How does it feel running at 7 mph speed? Can this treadmill hold up if my average speed is about 7 mph |
Answer: | That's about what I run at and around 148 lbs. no problems. Better that most hotels that I visit. |
Question: | Does it have a zero incline? I have a knee problem and need to run flat as possible |
Answer: | Yes --- you can achieve zero inclination by adjusting both feet at the rear of the treadmill by simply re-positioning the pin. (Raising the feet to highest position will make the treadmill level). |
Question: | How deep is the treadmill in folded position? hoping to have room in an empty regular closet if i want to put it away |
Answer: | When folded the XTERRA Fitness TR150 is 29" deep x 29" wide x 61" tall. We hope it fits! Thank you for your question. |
Question: | What are the three levels of incline |
Answer: | I measured it using an android level app at 1 degree, 1.5 degrees and 2 degrees. I had been logging the 1-degree measure as no incline, so it's good that this question inspired me to check. |
Question: | How much assembly is required for this treadmill |
Answer: | The assembly consists of 5 basic steps:1. Remove all parts from carton.2. Slide frame upright tubes onto base, connect console wire.3. Attach 2 frame upright tubes to base with bolts provided.4. Connect wire to console.5. Attach console to frame upright tubes with bolts provided. It is relatively simple to put together, but we do suggest you have someone assist since the carton is heavy and so are a few of the main parts. If you have any other questions, then please don't hesitate to ask! Thank you for your interest in our XTERRA products. |
Question: | At 4 mph, for 15 minutes that should be 1 mile. But the console shows only .8 mile. How accurate is the console |
Answer: | Unfortunately it looks like the tracking of a mile is grossly inaccurate which is a bit disappointing. Running at 6.5 it took me almost 12 minutes to complete a mile as per the console. I know it takes time for the belt to speed up, but that is still way off IMO. The treadmill itself is great for the money. I will be exploring apps to help with proper mile count. Also the heart rate monitor is way off. |
