Answer:	Thanks for your question. Everything is assembled in our Maine studio. The materials are sourced domestically and internationally. Specifically, magnetic cover components are made in Connecticut, lids are made in Pennsylvania and the tempered glass jars are made (custom for us) in a factory in China (under direct supervision—it's a factory that makes food-grade canning supplies. We would love to source the jars domestically, to have our products completely made here. However, no glass factories in the US are willing to work with a company as small as ours. Maybe some day! Question:	How smooth is the finish?Are there lots of rough spots
Answer:	Hi Josh, This is Beth, from Gneiss Spice! Those customer photos are from an old product-and amazon would not remove them for us. (Against policy I guess?) Thanks for asking, as I'm sure others are wondering the same thing. Inside each lid is a stainless steel, certified food-safe barrier that separates the magnets and the spices (that's the "larger magnet" you are mentioning, but it's not actually a magnet). The magnets are housed underneath this "magnet cap" and the whole piece attaches to the inside of the lid. No adhesive is used as all three components are held together by the force of the magnet that is sandwiched between them. Hope this helps answer the question. Answer:	From the base to the 2nd shelf at its highest, is 9.5 inches. From the 2nd shelf at its highest to the top shelf, is just under 6 inches

Answer:	The unit does not come with brackets or attachments for hanging. It could be mounted to the wall but not without showing the hooks or whatever is used. It is a bit heavy so I don't think that Command Hooks can be used. If you don't mind the hanging hardware showing, then yes you can hang it. Good luck.
