I have a Vortex 2490 which is a 3 stage and the only difference is the method of changing chute direction and the fact that mine has an extra impeller for the third stage. I looked at a picture of the 5024 and it looks alot like mine . Vortex 2490 OEM Part Number 790-00120-0638 for the shave plate. Part Number:790-00120-0638 for the 5024,,,,,,,same part #. Answer:	I looked this up for you and it appears this will fit. Some advice. Take pictures when you dissembled the chute control cables as re assembly will be a lot easier. Took me about an hour to remove the work out part and put in the new one. I have used my snowblower several times already this year and the replacement part works as I expected. Answer:	That is dependent on the size of your thigh diameter to hold them up. We bought them for someone 5’3 and 125 lbs with med to med large thighs and it was an x large. We bought thigh highs because the knee length would cut a groove just below the knee and “bunch up and fold” around the ankles. At least with these we could pull out all of the creased areas.
