She is really sensitive to wheat and corn so we love that this food not only doesn't have that, but includes things that really benefit larger breeds. She digests it well and gobbles it up happily. Her weight is great (which was always an issue with other foods) and I like that it's made here in the US. We also love that it is affordable compared to so many of the grain-free foods out there I'd prefer to feed her. I feel like it's certainly the 'next best thing' because we can actually afford to buy it all of the time. We switch back and forth between the Large breed Lamb and Rice and the Large Breed Chicken and Rice simply because I think a varied diet is beneficial. |

| Answer: | My lab ate way too fast so I put a large boulder in his dish with his food. He has to eat around it and ittakes him three times longer to eat. When the dogs eat too fast they take in a lot of air with the food andthat is not good for them. As far as adjusting to new food you should start by mixing the old and new food50/50 and over a period of 10-14 days adjust the mixture slowly until they are eating 100% of the new food.This is suggested by vets because it will have less of a chance of the dog reacting to the switch.Hope this helps ! |
