Answer:	dry is considered lock down on a trailer with straps and eye . Working is considered towing another boat with a strap if you had a need to do that of course, you would consider the load and friction. if you live in an icy area and you had to pull through an icy lake. Another example of working would be if you had the boat tied to a boat dock with two eyes at the 5000 lb weight you would divide the weight in half each eye would be holding roughly 2500 lbs. I do hope this answered your question. I used the eyes to secure my pontoon boat to the dock.

Question:	what is the diameter of the pole
Answer:	Paul, I don't have the pole in front of me, it is with the boat. My best guest would be 2 to 2.5 inches in diameter. The pole is very, very sturdy and does have a locking mechanism. It works great for both pushing off and pulling. Hope this helps?
Question:	Can't decide which loop size. Does 16" make it easier to snag a piling? Is it too floppy to snag cleats
Answer:	It's not floppy at all. It stays pretty rigid so it's easy to snag a piling or cleat. Deciding what size should be based on what size piling you are working with. I'd say if on the fence, go with the bigger size. It won't ever hurt to have the bigger loop.
Question:	What size would be required for a 26.5ft cabin cruiser-standard or XL? Thanks for any advice
Answer:	I have the standard size and use it on a 23' sea ray. you also have to think where to store it. It will extend out a ways, cant remember exactly how far but I know I've reached 10' or more Hope this helps

Answer:	You can use up to 5/8 down to whatever. But the real sweet spot is 3/8" line.
