Answer:	It’s a plastic lid so I wouldn’t boil it for too long. I would also remove the silicone o-ring first.

Answer:	I had the same issue but it was totally my fault. I tightened the lid too much and ruined the seal. I emailed the sellers and they responded immediately and sent me a new lid. I am much gentler now and the lid is holding up nicely. Give the seller a chance to replace the lid and I think you will be more than satisfied.

Answer:	Unless you plan to bake with it, that shouldn't matter. Borosilicate (pyrex) is for things like baking dishes. It can handle things like taking a dish out of the fridge and putting it directly into a hot oven without cracking. Normal glass works just fine for any scenario that I can think of for a water bottle, and it will be a touch lighter.

Answer:	I carry mine in my gym bag and my son carries his in his backpack and we've never had a problem with leaking. It has a great seal and a locking mechanism to keep it from opening. The only way it leaks is if the top isn't put on correctly.
