The size you require depends on the age of the player concerned and also the sex of the player.

Answer:	The excel is supposed to be more for outdoor. But they both play the same. Have to say though this ball while it says outdoor will lose its grip in a month or two. For street ball it picks up dirt like crazy and you will lose your handles on almost anything but a simple layup. Personally trying the Nike elite ball at dicks. For 30ish bucks I hear good things. Had a chance to play the grooves on the Nike ball facilitates better shooting and handling

Answer:	Yes, mine broke after 4 months. The backboard actually split in half.

Answer:	Got this for a Christmas gift for our son. He played on it for at least 30 minutes each weekday and 2-3 hours each Friday-Sunday. He dunked constantly and it held up VERY well for the first 6 weeks. BUT, he performed an average dunk tonight and the back board broke in half, and as the half with the hoop attached to it, fell to the ground, it cut his hand slightly. Before tonight I would have given this product 5-stars. I plan to contact the manufacturer to find out more. If I find out anything, I'll report back here again.
