Answer:	I really have no idea what kind of paint, polish, or sealer used on this product. I only know it is a wonderful concept to have all this information consolidated in one place for learning! My only criticism of the product has been that the red wooden indicator slides on mine were a bit weak and a couple of them broke with usage. Helmet sizing is not an exact science as each person's head is shaped differently. The following sizing guidelines work for 95% of our customers. Your size is determined by measuring the circumference of your head. Get a Measuring Tape - To determine the correct size, wrap the tape around your head, just above the eyebrows. Note your size at point of overlap. This is your helmet size.

Our Lucky Bums family was started over 10 years ago on long car trips back & forth from McCall to Boise. Trying to focus on driving on the dark, snow packed, windy roads with snowflakes shining in the headlights we talked about the babies and how time was slipping by already. We kept circling around the simplest of thoughts – how do we spend more time with the kids. Simple things - skiing and camping - that we considered part of our soul, seemed out of reach when we were working so hard learning how to sing lullabies and give tear-free baths. But – we were driven - literally.

Lucky Bum's Helmet Sizing and Fit Guide

Use a soft measuring tape to measure the circumference of your head about 1 cm above your eyebrows. Make sure the tape is at the same height all around your head when measuring.

Your helmet should fit snugly and comfortably on your head. It should rest about two centimeters above your eyebrows. Minimal room between head and padded liner or pressure points indicates a need to try a larger size.
