Question: This is described as color: black tire. the picture shows a white sidewall tire. which is correct

Question: Any flat protection or kevlar lining or is this tire just all about looks? I need a classic gumwall w flat protec like gatorskinz or schwalbe

User questions & answers

Question: does tire have wire bead? what is max psi rating
Answer: Caution: These are indeed nice tires. The Michelin label on the tire reads 87 PSI for rider weight above 176 pounds. I was inflating to 70 PSI (new tires, new tubes - exact-fit replacements of the original tires on the bike (700 x 38)). The tube blew at around 63 PSI (on its to 70 PSI, not while I was riding). You may want to test at 60 PSI or below and then work up from there.
Question: My existing bike tire is shield tire 42-622 (700x40C 28x1-5/8). Does these tires would fit my bike. Thanks
Answer: Yes pick size 700x28c
Question: I have 700x35c tires on my hybrid and I want to go a little wider, would the 700x40c work
Answer: Yes, the rims would accommodate, but check tubes. There are skinny tubes that may need to be changed.
Question: This is a replacement tire 700x35c what would be the correct inner tube size and numbers
Answer: Inner tubes are more flexible than the tires. Therefore the tubes are made in sizes that include a range of widths. Look for a tube that is 700c and includes a width of at least 35. (For example one mfr on Amazon makes a tube that is 700c x28-35; so that it will fit tires from 28 to 35 width)

User questions & answers

Question: The "Black" picture seems to have brown sidewalls. Does it
Answer: no , it does not.but it is not 23mm either. on my wheels it measured 19 mm. hmmmmm.
Question: What is the recommended inflation pressure
Answer: the recommended tire pressure is printed on the side of the tire. My 700 x 25 has a high pressure rating of 103 psi. The 700 x 23 is probably a little higher, but once again look at the tire!
Question: Is there a difference between 700 x 25 and 700 x 25c ? I thought most of the rim were "crotchet rim"... Are those of 700 x 25 of a different type
Answer: Most all 700 tires are C today. At one time there were A and B styles as well but the industry has settled on C (crochet type). (There are some D).
Question: are these slicks and how thick is the tire
Answer: Yes they are slick. As for the thickness, I don't know that measurement. They are wearing well on my bike. But, I did pick up a piece of wire along the road for a flat with it, and it's harder to fix than a foldable tire.
