Answer:	We don’t have our lenses tested for Ballistics. They would require a greater thickness for that. They meet or exceed all ANSI standard Z87.3 for impact resistance, driving suitability and %Visible Light Transmission.We independently test for Z87.1 impact resistance (safety rating for impact) and all of our lenses pass with flying colors.However, the lenses need to be individually tested in the frames that they are going into in order to be considered Safety or Ballistics rated. The ballistic testing is, of course, more rigorous than the safety test. They use a different drop ball (shaped like an AR15 bullet) that is projected from a machine at the lens. We don’t have that kind of testing facility in house.Having said that, we do have access to ballistic lenses (same as what we have, just 3 mm thick). There are just a lot of frames that they won’t fit in because of the thickness. In an effort to stay consistent, we try to stick to 1.6-1.8mm lenses. This is what we find best overall suits most frames with the best quality in vision and impact resistance.On a side note, we did take our lenses to a field to shoot them up a bit. We were surprised to find that our lenses were able to stop a .22 caliber bullet shot from both a hand gun and a rifle from about 50ft away! Sadly, they didn’t do much to stop an AR15, haha.
