Answer:	I ordered the large one so I'm not sure. But if the small size is ANY smaller than my large one I'm sure it will. I have a 20lb cat & the lg is too small for him. Good thing I have 2 smaller cats!

Answer:	I purchased the Midwest Quite Time Pet Bed 24" x 18" for our dog who is 20 pounds. It does go up the sides a bit but our dog loves that, especially in the winter. We purchased the Intermediate Petmate Pet Porter. The cushion doesn't block the holes and it does make it softer for him. However, he still gets antsy by the end of the night so we have to get up to let him out but that might just be because he's getting older and a bit cranky. Hope this will help.

Answer:	Some people are suggesting locking the bike to the car with a cable. It should be noted that ANY cable, even the thickest and most secure ones on the market, can be cut in seconds. A cable of any type is, at best, a deterrent to the casual thief. A serious thief loves cables because they are so easily cut. If you have an expensive bike, the only option worth considering is a U-bolt type of lock. Simply remove your bike from the car rack and lock it to a post. Even U-bolts can be defeated but the time and tools required will send all but the most determined thief looking for easier prey, like a bike with a cable.

Answer:	This rack (or any strap mounted carrier) should not be used on the Volvo XC models. The issue is that the top of the rear door on the XC's is made of extremely brittle fiberglass that can crack if anything (i.e. metal hooks or bike rack straps) is placed in the seem at the top of the rear door. We would recommend installing a receiver hitch on your vehicle and using a hitch mounted carrier.

Answer:	None of our racks are approved for use on a trailer mounted receiver hitch. Any trailer or trailered vehicle (including 5th wheel type) has a slight side to side motion that's very low frequency (1 to 1-1/2 times per second) that fatigues the steel from which the racks are manufactured. The fatigue first happens at a molecular level, but eventually (several thousands of cycles later) a visible crack will appear. Once the crack has formed, it will enlarge, finally to the point where the rack drops off the vehicle and the rack (and bikes) impact the roadway. This is also a dangerous situation for whoever may be following the trailer on the highway. We have seen 100+ incidents where the consumers/end user has not taken this advice and suffered disastrous results. I've even had phone calls from consumers who said they read that advice (do not use on a trailer) and ignored it, only to discover a tragic end result. So . . . don't do it. About Allen Sports

Dick Allen (pictured left in 1972) started Allen Sports in his garage in 1967. Question:	Does this mount to a trex bike with rim brakes
Answer:	I have not weighed mine but it weighs less than 25 pounds. I would say closer to the 11 pounds.
Question:	Can it be installed on a Montague bike with folding system
Answer:	The screws are metal, but the wing nuts are plastic. You can always replace them...just buy some metal wing nuts at a hardware store!
Question:	will this fit my fat bike
Answer:	Approximately. 11 1/2" Wide x 11 1/2" high x 19 1/2" longFits my medium size cat fine. She is 13lbs.
Question:	Are there any recommended bags to fit this rack
Answer:	I recommend large. I got the large for my 11 pound cat. He fits comfortably but I wouldn'the want it to be smaller.

Question:	Will a 1/2 inch or 5/8 hitch pin lock (such as the one Amazon lists as frequently purchased with this carrier) work with this
Answer:	The 1/2" OEM pin goes all the way through the carrier's tongue. The tongue's pin hole is threaded on both sides but the thread will only go in about 1/2 -3/4" or so. You could drill out the 1/2" hole to 5/8" but that may void the warranty. I tried Mac's suggestion. A 1/2" eyebolt only goes into the hitch about a half inch. I would think a bolt on the other side would be necessary. Mac's idea of using the eyebolt with long padlock is a good one, but I discovered that the hole where the cotter pin goes on the 1/2" pin is a little more than a 1/4" in diameter. A padlock with a 1/4" diameter shackle will fit in the hole perfectly. I used a MasterLock 4696D. The shackle appears quite robust and would take a bolt cutter to cut it. This installation secures my hitch to the carrier without any modification.
Question:	What is the measurement between the top of the hitch and the top of the bracket? Checking for clearance
Answer:	On my unit the distance between the top of the carrier tube at the hitch to the highest point on the carrier is 27.5 inches. That does not include the removable hold-down clamp. And for what it's worth, the vertical bar folds down, providing more than enough clearance for my Outback hatch to open.
Question:	What is the thread size of the lock bolt? i want to get a lockable lock bolt
Answer:	The thread size is 1/2"-13 (had a gauge and checked it out) . This was a shock, I thought it would be metric threads.
Question:	Will a fat tire fit
Answer:	a fat Mountain bike tire fits fine... but if you are referring to those REALLY fat tires that you ride on the beach, then, even though it will sit on the tire pedestal, it will not fit in it. You can secure it with a bungee cord and it should work.

Answer:	The product info says 39.1 lbs. It seems at least that and is fairly unwieldy.
Question:	Does anyone have a good secure locking system for the bikes
Answer:	We use our bike locks thru the bike wheels, bike frame and thru the mount . The only problem is that you must use the threaded pin that comes with the rack to secure the rack in the receiver hitch... Wish I could use the lock I have for the rest of my trailers/etc to secure the whole thing to the truck.
Question:	I read there is a lock available for the hitch, however is there a locking system for the bikes
Answer:	There is not a locking system for the bikes. The bikes are kept securely in place by the vertical bar with removable braces at the top. The bar will not fold down without the hitch key lock but the bikes could be removed by lifting over this bar. An additional bike lock would be recommended.
Question:	Can you buy the 2-bike rack and then an add-on for
Answer:	You can buy the four set up and then only assemble the first half (2) until you want to connect the second half later in life.

Answer:	I have the iPhone X and it just fits. Based on what I now of your Phone, it is going to be close, maybe too close. I would look elswhere

Answer:	Yes you will have to remove any bar bags as they will interfere with most racks for mounting. You can always get around this by moving the bag to a different part of the bike but then you have to affix it back when riding for functionality.

Answer:	Will easily hold that and surprisingly more. Also kept everything dry in downpour.
