| Answer: | No, it definitely does not fit. Just purchased one based on this answer, and although you can force it, it's clearly not meant to fit this size post. You have to loosen the screw nearly completely, and force the screw over the clasp to get it to fit (the washer won't even fit), and there isn't any space left over for rubber to keep the post from scratching.
