Answer:	it is about 1cm thick, its about in between those useless lightweight knee pads like the fox Launch Enduro Knee pads and the "real" downhill pads. Personally I don't find them to be to comfortable for pedaling a long time, but on the other hand they are very light weigh and reasonably slim. The reason for them not being the best for long paddling is that the back can bunch up. Take note though that I personaly don't like to paddle in any knee pads I ever tried. They are OK to use on hot weather
