Question:	Are the legs hollow or solid cold roll steel and what is the diameter of legs
Answer:	The legs are solid, the whole thing is heavy. The diameter is completely adjustable and unconstrained in shape or size. That helps a lot when you're not on flat ground.
Question:	When this is setup with legs extended what is the distance between the legs
Answer:	The tripod can be set up to adapt to your campfire. The distance between legs is up to you - you can spread them apart which will make the top of it lower and shorter or you can move the legs closer together which makes the whole thing taller. I use mine over a large campfire pit and adjust the legs until it fits. the legs are attached at the top and have an "S Hook" and chain for hanging a pot over the fire. I would attach a photo but don't think I can - recommend you do a search of tripods over campfires on "Google Images" which may be helpful. Lodge makes 2 sizes of tripods so of course the taller one will give you more height and also distance between legs if that's what you want. I have both sizes and love them!
Question:	What diameter are the legs apart from one another when in use, does it fit inside a standard size fire ring
Answer:	I understand what this question refers to. If the tripod is a certain length in leg a certain diameter is needed for it to stand without falling. Many hardware stores, such as Lowe’s sell bricks and fire rings ( a metal cuff )... so there is a standard type size with bought fire pit ‘kits’... I was wondering the same thing.

Answer:	The heat from fires has warped the grill has warped, so it is no longer completely level across the entire surface. That has affected the ability to set a pan onto the grill levelly a little bit, but it still works both with a fry pan and to grill food directly on the grill.

Answer:	It's raining here in Maine or I'd go measure the diameter but it's about two feet. The ground stack has a point and a small "stand" to put your foot on to help push the stake into the ground. I put mine right up next to the fire pit. I think the pole/stake is hollow but I no issue pushing into the ground with my foot. Works very well and it took about two minutes to set up.

The lighter probably would work if when you turn the knob on a alcohol stove a stream of propellant is emitted to be ignited by the spark.
