Question:	how tall is the cage only
Answer:	Yes!!! As a former breeder of rats, this cage would be perfect for them!! The space is great and there's no possible way for them to bite thru the steel bars.
Question:	So the large trays are solid? There are no wire floor above it? I'm asking because the cage we have now has a wire floor with a pull-out tray beneath
Answer:	Yes, but you wouldn't be able to have the floor in between them because you'd have to remove the top of the double nation and the bottom of the single nation to join them. That's how I have mine setup. You basically have one giant open cage on top with just the shelves, and a regular cage in the bottom which can be opened to the top one or not. If you do this, I recommend getting another shelf for the upper cage. It's probably simpler and cheaper to just get the add on version if all you want is a triple level cage. I had a single one I found on craigslist, so it was cheaper for me to do it my way.
Question:	can this be used for grown fancy rats
Answer:	It is big enough. But do not put 2 syrian hamsters together as they will most likely fight and kill the other hamster. 2 Dwarf hamsters would be fine in this cage.
Question:	can you take the single unit and add it on to the double unit
Answer:	Contact the company about your concern. I had the same problem and I had to send the entire item back and they sent me a whole complete new order .

Answer:	I would not recommend this for a cat. This cage has openings fit for smaller pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, etc.

Answer:	Hello, yes there is enough space to line the bottom with bedding. Thicker bedding will made it difficult to pull out the tray, but you can use the doors to easily access the interior. You can also remove the ramp and close the hole in order to keep them separated. Thank you and good luck!

Answer:	The locks aren't super durable however you cant get to them from the inside. As long as they are locked he/she cant get out.

Answer:	I went to a dyi place and purchased two of those 3 ft by 3 ft linoleum tiles to put under the cage to protect my floor, and they didn't cost much. Then I put the bedding I wanted to use down over the linoleum tiles. Works great. I cut them slightly so they're only a little bigger than the cage, so they don't stick out to far. They're thick and lay nice and flat.

Question:	Is this good for housing 2 chinchillas
Answer:	I have a regular cat litter pan in the XL cage. The pan has lower sides all around it. I have a disabled bunny so I cut an area out in the front of the pan so my bunny can easily get into it to potty.My litter box pan is probably 18 inches long. It fits good.
Question:	Can you connect two of these together, either side-to-side or back-to-back? One side unassembled on each cage, then zip tie the two cages together
Answer:	I have the large version. Getting ready to purchase the xl. This is a great cage. I like the way the top completely opens. Makes access for cleaning very easy. My one complaint; the raised honey comb pattern on the cage floor. You can't wipe the floor clean.
Question:	Could this be suitable for two rats
Answer:	You really want a taller cage for rats as they need the space to climb, unlike bunnies & guinea pigs. Rats would chew thru that plastic part on the top where the name is in no time as most rats are pretty aggressive chewers. Get a rat cage for rats- Martin cages are good or even something like a Rat Manor from Petco or even Petsmarts All Living Things rat starter cage would be better if you want a lower cost rat home. You want a cage at least about 3 feet tall for rats.
Question:	Would the bars be too far apart for juvenile rats? I don't want them to escape
Answer:	Something to note...the pan is sloped at an angle, so if you use it for guinea pigs and plan to make fleece bedding for it, you'll have to take that into account. The true base size is 19" x 47" x 7.5" (sloped)

Answer:	Our Syrian doesn't use it much. They are suppose to chew on the cardboard but ours never does, it looks just like the day we put it in her cage. You need a big cage because it takes up a lot of room.

Answer:	The directions I received absolutely were horrible. I had left over screws, with letters on them, that were not mentioned in the instructions at all.. I am not sure what animal you would like to home in this hutch. My rabbit chews on the soft wood. I do not see this hutch lasting a long period of time.. I wish, I could further help..
