My hamster is a 'plus sized' girl and she moves around quite a bit, much better for her than our old cage, but we had to cut the opening of the hide house to make it wider for her to fit in there. She seems to enjoy the extra space so maybe your rat will like it too.

Question:	can robo dwarf hamsters escape through the bars
Answer:	You might can purchase a bigger wheel from your local pet store. Just to give you heads up, I read some time ago that it was not recommended of purchasing the metal wheels that have spacing between them, due to the hamsters are known for getting their feet caught between the spacing when they run onto it, breaking their little bones. If you purchase a wheel make sure it's solid so the little guy doesn't end up with an injury. The one that comes with the cage is solid as you will see when you purchase it. My little guy does not use his wheel at all, but I keep it in his cage. He's just a eater and a sleeper.

Answer:	I wouldn't advise it. I bought this for my two rats and the levels aren't very sturdy - they knock them down constantly. It is smaller than I expected as well and I don't think it would allow for enough room for a bunny.

Answer:	I don't see how a dwarf or any hammie can escape but saying it's adequate for a dwarf hamster (I've had 6 dwarfs 3 robos and 8 Syrians) I don't think it's a great cage or habitat for robos. If my dwarf hamsters fell from the platforms id have been concerned bc as it is when my Syrian hammie doesn't use the stairs in this cage she used to take quite a tumble. I am still saying this cage is amazing!!! Just not for small hams.

Answer:	There is a non-slip pad inside the package, which is attached to the bottom of the buckle. Pets cannot move it, please rest assured to use it.

Answer:	No!! Do not get it. My hamster almost died by chewing a whole in the plastic and got cut up and escaped. She almost got eaten by my cats. Not a safe cage.

Answer:	The cage is adorable, and a decent size, but the wheel is tiny! I didn't even attempt to use the wheel. I ordered an 8 inch wheel separately. So I couldn't even tell you if it is quiet. I didn't even attempt to use it. I have a Syrian, and my boss didn't even want the wheel to use for his dwarfs. He said it was too small for them. But the cage itself is really cute!

Answer:	Hi, this is a great hamster cage with plenty of room! The wire shelf works fine. I bought a 6 pack of soft baby bibs, which are inexpensive. I simply lay one across the the top of the shelf and use the cage to clip it down to the base. I do the same for the ramp, it works great, and cleans up easy!
Question:	Is this a good mouse cage
Answer:	The bar spacing is 7mm which is good for mice. Along the sides there are 8mm gaps - I closed these up using cable ties. On the front of the large door where it bends, ours has a couple of bars which are 1cm and a mouse could escape through 1cm, but they would be easy enough to fix - a plastic corner protector for house walls glued on with aquarium sealant eg - or just a small strip of wood stuck on there.

Answer:	It's not a good cage for rats. They need tall cages of about three levels high. Plus, they are very rough on their cages so they would destroy the cage easily. I suggest a powder coated Martin's cage which is much better. Rats must always have another rat of the same gender to thrive.
