When prepared properly for bettas, the fiber in frozen peas occasionally, can help bettas & some other types of fish with the prevention of digestion issues. In nature, bettas and other types of fish do consume a wider variety of foods and consume some types of plants in their natural habitat as part of their natural diet. While scuba diving in the hawaiian islands along the coral reef, people often brought a small amount of frozen peas to feed the brightly colored fish there. The then official caretakers of the fish & reefs had no problem at all with this practice & the fish loved them, coming right up to your mask for them as they did not harm the fish nor the environment:) Offer only occasionally, do not over feed & clear the tank of any unused pieces of frozen peas within the hour so as not to pollute your tank's smaller environment though. Answer:	One answer is 3 mm (about 1/8"), another answer says 4-5 mm diameter, the image of the product says 4mm and the product I bought from this page several months ago says nothing about the pellet size. Pellet size is important. My fish were too small to consume these pellets, but a large Oscar would probably love them.
