Question:	is this a fixed lens projector
Answer:	Short throw lens, it has focus but not Zoom. You can find more technical details regarding to this projector on www.projectorcentral.com. You have to set the size of the image controlling the distance from the screen which is relatively short.
Question:	Would this work well as a backyard theater projector onto a 120 inch screen
Answer:	Yes, it would work well for this. The projector has to be a fixed distance from the screen which is probably about 4-5 feet to get to 120 inches, but should not be an issue since you are not mounting it. You can determine that with an online calculator. The Lumens are pretty high so should have pretty good visibility at dusk. Only other issue is it is not true HD (1080p) but still looks really good. I use it for my indoor Golf Simulator and it does the trick.

Answer:	I bought the QualGear PRB-717-WHT Universal Ceiling Mount Projector Accessory for $25 on Amazon. I love it!

Answer:	I use it on a wall i painted grey. Without direct sunlight on the screen area I can see it with my window blinds open. Darks are harder to see but its a bright enough projector that it is still viewable .
Question:	Just how dark does a room need to be to use this projector
Answer:	I don't think you could use this outside in the middle of the day, but I think you can have quite a bit of light present. I use this in the middle of the day in my media room with the doors open and light coming in the windows of the other room.
Question:	What’s the difference between older model and this
Answer:	I found this article www.hifihelper.com/ht2050a-vs-ht2050 helpful for not only listing all the differences, but helping you to understand if those differences would make much of a difference or not. I ended up going with the newer model and I'm glad I did, but now it makes more sense what some of these upgrades do or when they might be useful. Because even though I'm not really taking advantage of them now, they might be helpful in the future and now I feel like I'll be able to get more out of this projector. REALLY awesome projector by the way! Definitely worth spending the money to get one of these over the ones that cost a little less! Hope that helps :)

Question:	How far does the projector need to be on the ceiling to project
Answer:	Min 1680 mm Average 1851mm Max 2021 mm Offset 34mm The projector comes with distance and offset values in the manual Be aware there is no vertical or horizontal lense shift on this model. You will need to be extremely close with your measurements . A low profile ceiling mount is also needed if you plan on ceiling mounting with the screen near the ceiling
Question:	Any problems with dust getting inside the projector and distorting the image (dust blobs)? This was a problem with my 720P short throw Benq
Answer:	Had mine for a year, and yes I’ve had problems with this. I’ve been using it on the ceiling of a somewhat dusty room (adjacent to the cooking room) so it was certainly exposed to airborne particles. There are a few very mild dark spots that have begun to appear on the picture. I have not yet dissassembled it or hit it with compressed air so I can’t really say if this is a user-fixable problem or not. Overall the dust hasn’t really hampered my enjoyment of the projector, but it’s something to watch out for if you’re a stickler for screen uniformity.

Answer:	Pretty good actually the gamma will need to be adjusted as we games are pretty washed out and others are not on the same setting

Answer:	Mine is on a table right next to me and I do not notice the sound, like a laptop fan. Not like my old projectors. My room temperature is 80 or below. I keep my leather away from the side that blows out. Has no vents on top or bottom.

Answer:	I don't think it has that kind of timer. It has a sleep timer that you can set to shut off after 30 minutes to 12 hours but there isn't any timer that will turn it back on automatically.

Answer:	Both of them are DLP XRP 4K projectors, but HT3550 is equipped with a RGBRGB color wheel; better colors and performance for those movie buffs enjoying their 4K collections. UHD60 is with a RGBCY color wheel; higher brightness for people watching videos or games in lit rooms. One thing you might want to check is normally non-RGBRGB DLP projectors make more rainbow effect than RGBRGB ones, so if you are RGE sensitive, you need to consider this. pros and cons; it's really up to your personal preference and setup

Answer:	On our 3rd unit, they all only outputted mono. BenQ rep said it should be stereo. Amazon must have gotten a bad batch? First bought around Prime Day.

Answer:	It could be your connection cable- Aux cord only does stereo- 2 Channels + sub. Some cables only do 2,3 or 5 channel spread. Sounds like you are using Dolby Surround 5.0. To stream and get Dolby- (1) Pick Up an AppleTV box- they have the dispersion software & FireWire cable to provide surround sound etc. or (2) buy a more expensive Projector that provides surround audio. I went thru same challenge. Hope that helps.

Answer:	Depends on what "daylight"means to you. I live in Florida, so daylight means bright sun...so no, it will not be that great. Daylight meaning light coming into a house or office, then yes. It will be pretty bright. If also depends on how large your projected image is. The closer the projector to the screen, the brighter.
Question:	Native ratio on here shows 16:10... My projector screen tells me its for 16:9. Is this a problem, I am going to purchase this for outdoor movie/sports
