Answer:	Absolutely not. I bought this filter for a small temporary tank with only 4 inches of water in it for my hatchling. I don’t know your set up, but turtles are messy and require 2-3 times the filtration power of fish. I went to a 30 gallon high tank, filled it 90% and ordered an aquaclear 70 filter; they’re among the very best. It filters 300 gallons an hour, over kill, but you can adjust it to half that without burning out the motor. Multi-stage filtration with bio-scrubber

Unlike other filters, the Whisper EX directs water through multiple densities of floss to remove particles. The carbon inside eliminates odors, discoloration, and impurities. The Bio-Scrubber removes ammonia and nitrites that are toxic to your fish.

Maximum oxygenation

The Tetra Whisper EX filter is designed to move your aquarium’s water continuously. The outflow optimizes water oxygenation while the motor operates quietly.

Can be used in turtle tanks

The Tetra Whisper EX filter can be used in turtle tanks. The water level must stay above the minimum water level line at all times, which means it needs to be within 3-4 inches of the top of the tank.

Step 1

Remove all packaging and attach strainer (and extension tubes, if necessary) so that strainer will be no closer than 2" to aquarium gravel once the system is hanging on aquarium frame.

Step 2

Hang system on aquarium frame. Be sure aquarium water is at or above the minimum water level indicated on system's motor assembly.

Step 3

Once system is properly in place, plug filtration system into outlet being sure to average a drip loop with the power cord.

Question:	If I have a 72 gallon bow front tank, would these work good enough if I bought two to keep the tank clear
Answer:	I would suggest a stronger filter than aquatech, which works for smaller variety up to 60 g. You should go for aquaclear 70 or 110, they are great but are costly. I always aim for higher recommended capacity, for example for a 10 g, I would buy a filter for 20g. They are better for the long run. It's also based on your fish if they prefer low or high flow, aquaclear lets you control the flow and has three stages of filtration, which is why I like it, but aquatech is a good starter option I've had it for a couple years and I mean it does its job.
