| Answer: | I have all of the versions of the coralife super skimmers 65g, 125g, and 220g. I have found first off, they are good skimmers, they do need regular cleaning and maintenance, especially with salt buildup in the air line leading into the pump, salt builds up over time and slowly chokes off the air supply to the needle wheel impeller. I have found the the 65g does require cleaning a little more often than the other models. I hope this helps, clean out the pump, remove and scrub off the impeller being careful not to bend the needle wheel. |

| Answer: | It is 7 3/4 inches wide, and you will need a depth of at least 6 1/2 inches on top of your tank, however it only protrudes into the tank at a depth of about 3 inches from the edge of the tank. That will accommodate the intake valve and etc. I modified the glass lid on the top of my tank so that it just kind of angles up over the intake piping on the octopus it's self. Hope that helps. |
