Answer:	I went over my dog’s report and reviewed the many genetic factors that are tested. DM is listed as being tested for but there is no mention of SOD1 in the description. If it is found present there would almost surely be a more detailed explanation of the results.

Answer:	No. Check out the small Hartz toothbrush w/incl’d case. Works perfectly for my 7lb (down from 14+, firmly mil’s dog) almost 10yo toy fox terrier. This toothpaste works wonders too. Tink’s teeth had not been brushed regularly for yrs til I started nearly 11mos ago. Vet is thrilled w/the recovery of her teeth from previous yrs not to mention her weight loss! Hope this helps.
Question:	Why does this product contain neem oil? Is that an insecticide
Answer:	At the proper concentration, neem oil is generally considered safe. “Neem oil is not listed as a toxic plant product for cats or dogs as per the ASPCA Poison Control Center or Pet Poison Helpline, yet I always recommend cautious use with all dogs and cats under the guidelines of the pet’s primary veterinarian,” Mahaney says. Another reason to consult with your pet’s vet, and a reminder that natural is not necessarily synonymous with safety, is that “neem oil can interact with insulin, some oral diabetic medications agents, and thyroid hormone supplementation medication,” McFaddin says. Because the risks of using undiluted neem oil are not known, Mahaney doesn’t recommend pet parents use concentrated products. “If a pet owner is to make their own dilution, then the 1:10 dilution factor should be used.”

Answer:	FYI, cats and dogs are VERY different. Cats lack certain liver enzymes that dogs do not. Therefore, many, MANY things that are safe for dogs are not safe for cats, and can even kill them. You would actually have to research every ingredient for cat safety if it has not been approved for cats. Cats are also tolerant at a much lower level, which is one reason you NEVER give flea treatment designed for dogs to cats, even at the same 'weight' per dose. It can sicken and even kill them. Essential oils and other 'natural' substances can also be deadly for cats. Just be careful with kitties, and never assume you can safely use dog products for cats.

Answer:	It is a standard 4"×6" frame. If the paw is bigger than that then no. My best advice would be to put some flour on the floor and make a paw print then measure it.
Question:	how does the Ink pad work? I see people mentioning their dog's paw never touches the pad but don't understand how that works
Answer:	It's Magic! No, but really, the way it works is that the ink is on the backside of a flexible film material. So you place the ink pad down on the paper with the inkside down and then you gently press your pets paw on the "clean" side of the printer. The pressure transfers the ink onto the paper. The pad provides amazing detail. If you press your finger you can see your actual finger print. Hope this helps to explain.
Question:	I have a paw print from vet that is 4" dia and 3/4" thick. Will this fit within the frame ? Thank you
Answer:	Yes it will fit on the inside, I put one in there about the same size and it fit just great.
Question:	I have a 3 half by 3half circle paw print from the vet (a) will it fit in the frame, (b) how does the paw adhere to the frame
Answer:	Just measured using mine.-Yes, 3x3 will fit but it should be no more than 1/4" thick. Mine is just slightly over that and I had trouble getting the back on again.-It comes with a small piece of double sided tape to adhere it to the backing. If yours is close to 1/4" thick you may not need it. Mine fit so snugly when I put all the pieces back in that I did not need the tape.

Answer:	The clipper was able to shave off my maltipoos thick hair like butter. I was honestly surprised at how fast it took me to finish shaving him. As for golden retrievers, I see no issue, the clipper didn’t get hot after using, but then again it only took me 15min to get a short even haircut.

Answer:	Yes, I started my dog as a puppy. Now she is 5 years old and waits every morning for her teeth to get brushed. When they have a small mouth, use the finger tip until they get used to having their teeth done.

Answer:	The brush is pretty big. It's for a large size dog, u might have to buy a small one of buy a baby tooth brush. My chihuahua likes the peanut butter taste.

Answer:	You just add the toothpaste to the toothbrush and gently brush the teeth just as in humans. The residue stays on the teeth or they swallow the harmless formula...it's as simple as that.

Answer:	The first time I bought Nylabone Pet Toothpaste, the ingredients were the same as those listed in the other answers. When I ran out of it, I couldn't find anything called Nylabone Pet Toothpaste, so I purchased Nylabone Advanced Oral Care for Cats (ingredients for dogs is exactly the same). The new tube looks exactly like the old one and is called Nylabone Pet Toothpaste BUT now sorbitol is the first ingredient listed. I wasn't too happy, either.

Answer:	It worked for mine, but do to his thick hair, it would get caught very easily and lessen the strength of the blade. Will be returning and upgrading to a stronger blade

I was surprised.. my 200$ Wahl clippers that were 10+ years old died and this one was the price of a blade for the Wahl! WIll it last 10 years, hell no, but it works great, is powerful and VERY quiet. Works for now until I can shop for a professional pair

Question:	How long does it take to get the results back
Answer:	I purchased the kit on Black Friday 2019 sale. It took 16 days from mailing to receive all test results. I was expecting longer than the estimated 3-4 weeks due to the presumably increased sales during the holidays. Here is my timeline: Mailed the sample on 12/5. Delivered to Embark 12/10. Sample sent to lab on 12/17. Received health results on 12/20. Received breed, traits, and relatives on 12/21.
Question:	Has anyone compared results to wisdom panel? i am having a tough time trusting our wp results since they seem way off
Answer:	Yes I have! We have 2 rescue dogs, and We 100% definitively know the ancestry of one of our rescues but not the other. Our older rescue, Lily, is a Doberman-Lab (maternal doberman, paternal lab-retriever). Our other rescue is a mixed bag of cuteness--all we know for sure if she has some husky and some border collie. That being said, I wanted to compare Wisdom Panel and Embark, and since we knew what one of our furbabies is a doberman-lab, we thought she would be a great control for this experiment! I ordered Wisdom panel first (bc of its great reviews and more appealing price) and I was completely appalled and disappointed at the results for our doberman-lab. Her results came back as Alaskan Malamute + Poodle. I actually called to see if they mixed up her results with someone else's but customer service told me that it was impossible to do so lol! I loved Embark's results, and they actually tested her pretty accurately--It came back as Doberman-Lab Retreiver-Rottie (Rottie being minimal). I love the health results, they are so much more detailed compared to Wisdom Panel results and its worth the extra cost. As for our other mixed rescue dog, Wisdom Panel came back with a mix of 8 breeds and 20% 'undefined'. I was pretty disappointed with that and our results for her Embark test are pending.I did post to the Embark facebook group, as other ppl have, and many people have done a similar experiment between the 2 companies. It seems to be overwhelmingly pro-Embark, but I can understand that the price may be a turnoff. In my opinion, the price is worth it for embark, especially if you have health concerns.
