Answer:	I used the little places in the sleeve to let them dry and I let them dry about an hour. The put them into the sleeve, unsealed and sent the whole thing back. I got got good results on all specimens
Question:	Can you do this DNA test on a puppy or is it better to wait until the dog is full grown
Answer:	Actually you should wait at least until the puppy is no longer nursing on the mom. That Can skew the results.
Question:	Will it provide results for mixed beeeds
Answer:	One of my puppies results came back with 12.5% “breed groups”. If you want those specific breeds, they charge an additional $89. Says results in a couple days, I got them in a few seconds. So they obviously already had that info ready. Deceptive advertising to play with the results that way...
Question:	Will the test identify chubacabra dna
Answer:	Yes! The test results showed that my dog had 20% chupacabra DNA but it could be that my dog ate a chupacabra. I’m not 110% sure

Question:	Are the swab samples being destroyed after the results are posted
Answer:	As per our Terms & Conditions, users may request their DNA sample to be destroyed. We can only do so after the results are uploaded - destroying a DNA sample at the lab will not affect the online results. However, once a DNA sample is destroyed, there will be no option to retest the sample. Usually, one vial is for safekeeping which we can use, for example, if we decide to upgrade the chip for testing in the future.

So idk how you're having a problem w/ it saying basically that that the 20" chain is so small that it won't even fit over your wife's head.... Maybe the problem isn't the necklace and more of like that she's fat so she has a big ass neck, lying about the chain being small &/or both (she's fat so she has a big ass neck & lying about the chain being to small) because like I said I had no problems with it & my son wears it every day.

Question:	Why does this brand lump british & irish together? (i noticed ancestry dna lists them separately). the genes are significantly different. thanks
Answer:	It will if you have a significant difference, if that is the case, it will drill down to say Irish. For instance, my husband (who is from Ireland) was 99% British and Irish, and then drilled down to 99% Irish. I was 88% from Spain and Portugal (I'm from Portugal) and then drilled down to 88% Portugal. I never mentioned to them I was from Portugal so the fact that they determined that I was Portuguese and not Spanish or a mixture was a surprise. Now, if you only have a small percentage they may not be able to distinguish between the two groups. Hope this helped!

Answer:	There is access to your raw data, however if you recently took the test and have results under the V5 chip, you will not be able to upload to many third party sites at this time as this raw data is not yet supportrd

Answer:	Not only will it not provide tribal affiliation, there is a notable rate of false negatives for Native American ancestry in DNA testing right now (both 23andme and other companies). Meaning these results might say you have zero Native ancestry even when you do have some. People who have their family tree well documented and live on reservations have had this happen, due to the comparison samples the companies use to test against.

Answer:	Ancestry.com & 23 & Me can sell your DNA to 3rd parties (although your name is not attached to your DNA...."anonymous") BUT Family Tree DNA makes a PROMISE to NEVER sell or share it even anonymously. When you die & if you have not given a family member your kit # & password to log into your account (I'm giving it to my 3 sisters) or if you do not have a "beneficiary" with a GOOD contact email & phone # then they will "own" your DNA at that point at least for 25 years after you submitted your DNA but I don't know if they can still keep your RAW DATA & what they do with it then...maybe research of some kind with geneaology stuff like surnames? I think after a person dies ....ALL the companies have rights of some kind to your DNA or data or both?

Answer:	Hello Karen, we test for over 150 breeds - and even wolf, coyote, and village dog ancestry - together these breeds cover over 98% of dogs in America. Question:	How long does it take to get the results back
Answer:	I purchased the kit on Black Friday 2019 sale. It took 16 days from mailing to receive all test results. I was expecting longer than the estimated 3-4 weeks due to the presumably increased sales during the holidays. Here is my timeline: Mailed the sample on 12/5. Delivered to Embark 12/10. Sample sent to lab on 12/17. Received health results on 12/20. Received breed, traits, and relatives on 12/21.
Question:	Has anyone compared results to wisdom panel? i am having a tough time trusting our wp results since they seem way off
Answer:	Yes I have! We have 2 rescue dogs, and We 100% definitively know the ancestry of one of our rescues but not the other. Our older rescue, Lily, is a Doberman-Lab (maternal doberman, paternal lab-retriever). Our other rescue is a mixed bag of cuteness--all we know for sure if she has some husky and some border collie. That being said, I wanted to compare Wisdom Panel and Embark, and since we knew what one of our furbabies is a doberman-lab, we thought she would be a great control for this experiment! I ordered Wisdom panel first (bc of its great reviews and more appealing price) and I was completely appalled and disappointed at the results for our doberman-lab. Her results came back as Alaskan Malamute + Poodle. I actually called to see if they mixed up her results with someone else's but customer service told me that it was impossible to do so lol! I loved Embark's results, and they actually tested her pretty accurately--It came back as Doberman-Lab Retreiver-Rottie (Rottie being minimal). I love the health results, they are so much more detailed compared to Wisdom Panel results and its worth the extra cost. As for our other mixed rescue dog, Wisdom Panel came back with a mix of 8 breeds and 20% 'undefined'. I was pretty disappointed with that and our results for her Embark test are pending.I did post to the Embark facebook group, as other ppl have, and many people have done a similar experiment between the 2 companies. It seems to be overwhelmingly pro-Embark, but I can understand that the price may be a turnoff. In my opinion, the price is worth it for embark, especially if you have health concerns.
