If you have hardwood/tile floors, this may be the only vacuum you need. However, it is weak on carpet - it simply doesn't have the weight or the power to dig in and give carpets a deep clean. Note that with the Rocket, all the weight is at the top of the stick, so you are carrying the weight (which gets tiring). With the Navigator, the weight is low, pushing down into the carpet.

Answer:	I just picked this up from bed bath and beyond... lo and behold the box says what accessories they have. There were two different boxes with the same UPC and exact same box, except the list of accessories on top of the box were different. I'm assuming from the comments the newer ones have excluded the motorized pet brush, under appliance wand and others. Luckily I knew what to look for and brought home the one with all the included accessories that the shark website listed. This was the same at Kohls too. They had both limited accessory and full accessory hv382 next to each other for the same price, same UPC barcode. I got mine today at bband beyond for $199 -20% off email coupon. $159 +tax. I am ordering a flexible hose from the shark website for $16 plus shipping. I don't know if it's true but apparently 380 model accessories are incompatible w lower model accessories (300, 310, 320) There's no way of choosing which one you get if you order it online

Setting I: Gentle on bare floors and delicate area rugs. The brushroll and the soft roller both spin together slowly to clean bare floors and delicate area rugs. The soft roller traps fine dust and large particles, while the brushroll directs that debris to the suction channel. Setting II: Deep cleans carpets by removing embedded dirt. Both brushrolls spin faster, working together to pick up debris below the surface of your carpets." Thus, the brushroll spins on BOTH settings -- just slower on the hard floor setting. This has the potential of damaging hardwood and vinyl floors.

Answer:	I've had all sorts of vacuums, including real Electrolux vacs back when they weren't assimilated, and this is an excellent vacuum for the money. It excels at hard floors, although the head that comes with it is a tad narrow and noisy. Here's what you want in a vac - suction. Lightweight. Reliability. Ease of use. Not just inexpensive to buy, but inexpensive to keep running. People shouldn't pick on the little things - if you don't love the hard floor head, you can buy a 3rd party one to your liking (I did) very inexpensively. You want a HEPA filter? Around $10 to add one. Strap? Sure - the part number to order one is in the manual it comes with.This is a great BASIC vacuum, very simple, which translates into light weight, and (one would assume) with less things to break - more reliable. I'm buying another for my daughter right now - I've had my for about 2 years and with a big black dog that sheds like crazy, a crazy cat that sheds like the dog, and most of my house being white tile, I use this vac a lot. No babying. It gets dropped (by accident), the cord gets yanked, hoses stepped on, etc - nothing has broken, it has never done anything strange, it just keeps plugging away - change the bag and filter regularly and it never misses a beat.
