And yes, yeast is a fungus. It’s most likely that your dog with “yeast” problems has an overgrowth of Candida Albicans, and very probable that it’s an internal overgrowth that caused the skin affliction. I’m not speaking for the effectiveness of coal tar against Candida, but if topical treatment of your dog’s skin issue doesn’t respond to treatment or reoccurs after treatment, you should consider treating the problem internally. Also, if you’re feeding your dog dry food you may be perpetuating the problem. Dry food is rarely free of mold/mycotoxins.

Answer:	If your dog is allergic to fleas, a flea preventative is the first line of defense. After that, Zyrtec can be very effective for most dogs. Check with your vet for dosage for you pet. Some vets also recommend to combine Zyrtec with fish oil; it seems to be an effective combination for tough cases. We had a Beardie mix who found great relief with the Zyrtex/fish oil combo and have recently adopted a rescue Standard Poodle mix who has also benefited from Zyrtec (haven't done fish oil yet because of upcoming neutering surgery - fish oil can pose excessive bleeding risk). You will find generic Zyrtec (cetirizine) here on Amazon or in big box stores to be VERY affordable relief for your pet (cats can take it too!) =). I've used Veterinary Formula Clinical Care products with good results, and this shampoo is a good tool in your tool box for topical cleansing and temporary relief, but the flea bite dermatitis is basically an allergy and is better treated systemically with an allergy med such as citirizine. I would not attempt that with a shampoo that wasn’t tear-free, due to discomfort and potential of causing corneal ulcers or other eye problems. Question:	I would like to know if this is safe to use with topical flea and tick products
Answer:	This is a wonderful hypoallergenic shampoo. We use it every week on our Goldendoodle. I don't use topical flea and tick products on him (such as Frontline), as I don't like to put chemicals on him. I can't imagine you would have any problem though, as this is a very gentle no tears shampoo. I think you'll love it!
Question:	Has anyone noticed if this product helps reduce shedding at all
Answer:	This is a very high end shampoo that i love to use on my dogs. I do not believe a shampoo can reduce shedding, it comes from the inside out. It is in the diet of the dog, raw diet is the best and fish, flax, or coconut oil given daily. but to keep your pets coat soft, clean, and smelling great without irritating their skin, i highly recommend vets best.
Question:	What are the main ingredients? Does it contain oatmeal
Answer:	It contains aloe Vera, allantoin, panthenol, & vitamin E. It does not appear to contain oatmeal. My dog has very sensitive skin & after trying many different shampoos, this is the only one that works for her.
Question:	How does it do with doggie odor? I have a Jack Russell/Beagle mix and would love to gently deal with the hunter breed odor if at all possible
Answer:	It has an odor of tree tea oil and less odors of other herbs. It may work to take the hunter breed odor away especially after a bath. Good luck!
