Answer:	I myself would not use the dark beauty on a light dog. I use it only on my Black Cocker Spaniel. I have a buff colored Cocker Spaniel I use the top performace White coat on only on.

I saturated his coat with this product and then worked it, with my fingers, down to his skin, making sure that all of the hair and skin in the problem area was soaked. It worked wonders. I'm sure it will work for you too, even though your cat has different hair than mine, if you make sure to really soak the hair and then work the product into the skin with your fingers....as a person would when shampooing their own hair, the same type of finger motion we use to make sure we clean our scalp as well as our hair when shampooing. Answer:	I am a Cat Groomer of 30 years also, so you asked the right person about fleas. I am thinking you did not leave shampoo on long enough or get a good lather. You should be fine to put collar on. However I think the Soresto Collar works better. Also Frontline comes in spray (50 doses approx.) for about $40 compared to 4 individual doses for $50 that you get elsewhere. The spray is your backup if the collar fails.
