Answer:	Some dog nails are translucent so you can see where the soft inner part stops, don't grind into that part. If their nails are totally opaque it's more complicated, but if you look at the underside of a dog toenail you should see the cuppy hollow part that dirt gets trapped in, my rule of thumb is that all of that hollow part is safe to grind off. Stop and check it out if they flinch though, no need to take risks.

They lay on their side w/me kneeling next to them to trim their nails. With my biggest dog (German Shepherd), I trim the nails on the feet on the paws she's laying on, then have her lay on her other side to do the same thing on the other 2 paws. Answer:	when i got the item i find the there are two replacemant heads in the box, one on the mechine, so, i think you don`t need to buy extra one, that is enough.
Question:	Diamond head grinder Do you need to replace the head at some point? I just bought a similar grinder and the head last nothing
Answer:	I have two small dogs and have only had the tool long enough to use it once on each of them. I didn’t notice any performance degradation with the head. I can see a replacement would be needed at some point but the size of a dog and how often it’s used factor into how long it’s going to last.
Question:	Will it work on a large (120 lb) dog’s nails
Answer:	I would say yes. I have a 70lb husky with big paws and it works for her

Answer:	I have 2 Great Danes and their nails are so thick. But I have no trouble with this grinder. It works great on their nails. Depending on how long the dogs nails are it takes me about 1 min and a half per nail on the fastest speed and it’s really quiet so my dogs don’t mind it. I would defiantly recommend this for your Great Danes. I also have a toy fox terrier who’s about 10lbs and I use it on her too. You can’t go wrong with this tool.
