Answer:	Most essential oils are toxic to cats. Normally we, and other animals, have an enzyme in our liver to break down the components of essential oils. However, cats do not have this enzyme. So, the toxic components of the oils biomagnify (build up) over time, and cause severe liver damage, neurological issues, immune system failure, and eventually death. Think of it this way, dogs cannot have too much chocolate for a very similar reason. Their bodies were not designed to digest and break down cacao like ours is. Eventually, too much chocolate will kill them.
Question:	What is the difference between this product (for cats) vs the same home spray marketed toward dogs? And why is this one so much more expensive
Answer:	Brittany's answer is not exactly correct. Close, though. The "cat" version simply reduces the amount of clove oil (eugenol) and the surfactant, sodium lauryl sulfate. Thank you to Vet's Best for being on top of that. The "cat" version will work just fine on dogs and as a spray for bedding and carpet. It is cedar oil that is toxic to cats (and who else?) and this product does not contain that.

Answer:	Yes - I sprayed it all over my couch - separated the pillows and cushions and let everything sit overnight and in the morning put my couch back together. There is no odor or staining. Stuff is wonderful. Only had to use it once.

Answer:	At least 24 hours. I usually spray their bedding outside. Just be careful not to inhale the fumes. Great product, you might want to try the Adam's carpet powder for the rugs.Just sprinkle on,wait 2 hours and then vac.
Question:	Are the ingredients made out of same things in raid? this smells just like a mix of raid roach spray and frontline flea med
Answer:	I haven't used Raid for many years and don't know about the toxins listed on a can of it. I do know that Raid would be poisonous to animals or people, if ingested. I have used Adams spray for a very long time. It has never caused any side effects in any of the animals I have used it on. It is a very effective product that I rely on for flea control for my dogs as well as the wildlife animals that I rehabilitate. I wouldn't necessarily judge the product by how it smells.
Question:	Should I shampoo the carpet & furniture before I use the spray
Answer:	To anyone wanting to shampoo their carpets before using this. Don't. It may kill some of the existing fleas but it will actually cause eggs to hatch. Vacuum like crazy, spray the vacuum container, close it back up and let the fleas in there die. Empty it. Get some 20 mule team Borax and shake it all over your carpet and couch, and fabric furniture and sweep it in and let it stay down. It will help dry up the eggs, and dehydrate the fleas. Every time you vacuum, make sure you put some more back down. Use the Adams to spray your house. This stuff is excellent. I also recommend using flea traps that use a night light and sticky paper. That way you can keep tabs on how you are doing, by the number of fleas that you find in the traps. I also want to state, that Harts and Sargeant, and off brand flee drops for your pets shoulder blades DO NOT WORK! Please don't waste your money. Either get Advantage or Frontline. Or you can get Capstar of Comfortis, which are oral treatments. I hope this helps people. I worked in the Grooming industry for many years and have helped a lot of people effectively get rid of their fleas. Good luck, and please gives these tips a try. It is a lot better than bombing your house. You can also initially have an exterminator come to your house. But you will have to maintain your prevention routine for several weeks. You should be able to restore peace in a flea free home in about a month. Also, this can be used for other insects as well. You can spray a flying wasp and it will fall dead within seconds.

Question:	Can you use it on rabbits
Answer:	This is a heavy duty spray which I doubt you would want to set as a timed spray inside your house. I use one in the garage at the door to the inside of our house which pretty closely eliminates flying insects with few exceptions. It does however, necessitate cleaning the glass in the door as overspray will sometimes get on the glass. I have it set on shelving adjacent to the door at the same height as the top of door frame and the spray floats gently down the area where insects would be flying to enter the house. I would not however, set it up to time spray inside the house but I do use a can to manually spray around the french door frame and surround and sometimes in the trash can if we have dumped excessive amounts of produce peelings, etc. Seems gnats can detect them from far away and will sometimes find their way inside despite my efforts to keep them away.

Answer:	It did not stain my sofa, chair or bedspread. I did spray heavily over these but I didn't saturate to the point of being wet. It does the job but remember to lightly reapply in approximate 2 weeks just to make sure you get any hatched larvae.

Answer:	I believe you could do this. I would recommend opening a few windows if possible. This has a smell but it’s not horrible. This really works. Be sure to vacuum before and after you spray. Throw away the vacuum sweeper bag or empty the contents of container if it has that. This way if you have any eggs vacuumed up you get rid of them. I would also recommend Serestro collars if you haven’t heard of them. I haven’t had fleas since using this spray and now using the collars.

Answer:	My vet just told me yesterday about this spray. My house is infested as I was treating what I thought were gnats, but exterminator says it’s fleas! Answer:	We had a infestation knock out helped us gain control but will not stop them, follow directions on can and yes spray your wood floors as any cracks can be a home for larva. Spray were the walls meet the floor this is very important, you will need to spray lightly sofas and love chairs as this is a place for eggs. Now you need to understand the life cycle of a flea colony, first flea enters home on pet or you have flea infested flower beds lawn or just general out door areas. If no pet you will need to spray with a flea yard guard, if you have a pet they will need to be treated with an good flea treatment not any no brand garbage. The pets flea protection after applied will enter there blood stream and if any flea bites them they will die a short time later. Now the fleas are in so they need food this would be your pets blood or yours if that's all there is but they prefer animals. Flea's suck up blood and lay its eggs in the carpet & cracks in your wood floor and wall floor seams. Eggs hatch and now you have larva (worms) they eat skin scale dander and other remnants that are abundant in your carpet and floor. Next the larva form a cocoon and start their transformation this stage is called papa, and sprays, and other poisons cannot penetrate the cocoon. Knock out will kill live young and adult fleas, larva and some eggs and will keep working for weeks. But the papa are not effected and will hatch amazingly only when a food source goes by, and can stay dormant for up to 2 years. The egg to adult flea cycle takes approximately 6 weeks so you should reapply then also number one defense besides getting your pet flea control is vacuuming. A USC study found that just vacuuming twice a week eliminated up to 96% of adult fleas and larva. So what you are probably seeing is some of the next generation hatching. As I said we had a infestation and knock out hit them hard and we were able to live unharassed but I vacuumed 2-3 times per week for 3 months and get that pet good flea control and turn then into the toxic avenger every flea that bites them will die and not lay eggs. Once the cycle has been broken continuous pet or yard flea control and regular vacuuming will eliminate this small but over whelming force. Good luck stick to a good cleaning regiment and you will see less and less of them every week until they are basically gone. PS. If you have out door furniture or a extra coach in the basement spray with knock out it will take care of them as it contains a growth inhibitor so a good percentage of fleas that hatch a few weeks after you applied Knock out will have there growth stunted and never reach adult hood to lay eggs but they will bite and die within a few weeks which is normal life span for flea.

Answer:	My indoor only cats got fleas from a neighbor who had a huge infestation and didn’t tell me. I decided to be proactive and bought the killer of all killer sprays- Precor. I sprayed it along the baseboards of the rooms where my cats spend the most time. But I did all the usual “tests” to see how extensive my flea issue was (I.e. soap flea traps, white socks) and did not catch any so I felt my problem was “light” as I only found fleas (1-3) on my cats. But I did vacuum daily and mop every 2 days. You can use it on furniture but I would suggest you only use around hidden areas (underneath cushions or seat) as fleas do not live on the exposed areas. But vacuum those as well. Vacuum, vacuum, vacuum is the key as well as using a preventative in your pets!
