Answer:	Hi Kathryn, the bowls are indeed food grade bpa free silicone and are fine for human or animal use. Silicone is a highly heat resistant material you will see used for many kitchen items, and I have used them for low level heating of water in a microwave with no issues, but keep in mind they do not come with lids and the main purpose is the ease of storing and traveling with collapsible bowls. Answer:	Hello. The LickiMat Tuff has rubber anti-skid feet and is designed to be placed on the floor. The LickiMat classics are made of Natural Rubber and will generally not move around on the floor - with millions sold, it is the best in the industry. The LickiMat Splash is designed for use in bathtub, shower and other horizontal and vertical surfaces (grooming aid, etc.) and has a suction cup. There is a video of someone pulling their car along the road using a LickiMat Splash somewhere on Youtube to show how it works.
Question:	Are there different sizes for large dogs
Answer:	Hello. We have a Great Dane and she loves her LickiMat Tuff (she prefers the Soother and Wobble). Remember, this is not about getting calories and a big meal into a big dog, it is all about getting the dog to lick for a long time, which you can do with few calories (yoghurt, peanut butter, smashed sardines, mashed vegetables, cream cheese, etc. spread on the mat. The dog has to lick the natural rubber and press her/his tongue to get to the treat/spread/food. Remember to train your dog to lick the treat under supervision. It is not a chewy toy! So when first training, use small amounts only in the middle of the LickiMat. They will soon figure out how to use it with your training.

Answer:	Hello. This particular product is designed in Australia and Italy. We, LickiMat, are an Australian company. LickiMats contains no Silicone or TPE - materials which can be harmful to your pet. The Tuff series is a USA trademarked unique product with a strong chew-resistant base that sets it apart from all Chinese copies of LickiMat (the original and still best) and even American copies !! The country of manufacture for any specific LickiMat will always be on the packaging. Most of our LickiMats are made in a factory in China that makes products exclusively for us and we personally know everyone working there and oversee the quality.
Question:	Does all the licking for such extended periods irritate the dog's tongue
Answer:	We only use our lickimat to help decrease anxiety for a short period of time - less than 15 minutes. We haven't found it to irritate the dog's tongue, but once the spread (we use frozen peanut butter) the dog loses interest so stops likcing.

Answer:	They are not very heavy but the silicone rim around the bottom helps them stay flat on the floor.
Question:	In less than two weeks, these are rusting tremendously. Do I have a defective set, or should I just return them
Answer:	They must not corrode (rust). Grade 316 (also called 18-8) stainless steels do not corrode significantly. Grade 304 will corrode, as will 400 series metals. Good stainless steel (with high nickel and chromium content) is non-magnetic. Check your bowls with a magnet, and please leave a review to let the rest of us know if these are good.
Question:	Why do these feel like they are aluminum and not stainless steel? Usually stainless steel is naked on the bottom of the bowls. Poor quality

All of our stainless steel products are sourced and produced in India of Type 200 Stainless Steel, which is a class of austenitic (highly corrosion-resistant and non magnetic) stainless steels that are characterized by having a small nickel content along with nitrogen and manganese. It is also sometimes referred to as chrome-manganese (CrMn) stainless steel. Series 200 stainless steels have excellent impact resistance and toughness, even in low temperatures. They are generally harder and stronger than 300 series steels, primarily due to their higher nitrogen content, which acts as a strengthener. Does this have suction cups on the back to keep in place

Answer:

Hi There. No suction cups. When laid flat it holds on most floor surfaces quite well. It is made of natural rubber instead of Silicone or other plastics so that it is safer for your pet. Silicone ones have suction cups but up to you if you want to risk it. If you need a LickiMat that sticks to surfaces (like for grooming etc.) get a LickiMat Splash. If you are looking for something with Anti-skid legs, then get a LickiMat Tuff. Main thing is to train the dog (cats are pretty mellow) to lick the food/treat under supervision so start with small amounts right in the middle of the mat only. Takes a couple of gos depending on the dog and the treat.
