| Answer: | I did not use the metal brackets I made a mounting out of !/2" regular plastic tubing which I secured to the float unit with nylon screws and nylon wing nuts from Home Depot as I was concerned about the salt reaction on the metal. The whole unit lasted around 4 years and the only failure was the washer on the float that shuts off the flow. It was in my pool 24/7 all those years but after rain when the level rose the float was forced to press hard on the outlet and eventually caused an indentation that stopped it from cutting off the water flow. I could not find any suitable replacement in any hardware stores so I had to buy another complete float valve. Lesson learned, when the water rises above shut off level lift the valve out and turn off the supply until the water is lowered manually or evaporates naturally. |

| Answer: | None. They all run out. The design of these things sucks as the angled back and the earthly mount causes water to constantly overflow. Bought 3. Wound up tossing 2. Had to shim the back up stop this. It's also caused by crappy plug design that they gave. It leaks, no matter how you adjust it causing them to constantly and slowly, overtop. Save your money. |

| Answer: | There is plenty of room for an average size horse to drink. I have purchased about 200 of these units. Definitely buy the stainless or galvanized unit. The painted unit deteriorates much quicker. You need to mount this unit in a solid manner so the bowl doesn't push down and bend when the horses drink. Some horses like to play with it to entertain themselves so it needs to be mounted securely so it doesn't waste water spilling out on the ground after the horses bend the back of the waterer. If mounted properly, it will last a long time. Also mount the pvc supply pipe in such a way that it is not easily broken. We changed our pipes to run along the top of the barn and downward and connected to the bowls to minimize pipe breakage and wasted water. |

| Answer: | Its back is flat and it has two mounting holes. I mounted mine on a privacy fence with two drywall screws and flat washers (into a horizontal 1"x4"). |

| Answer: | The bowl is not that deep. Just swish the dirty water out take a sponge and wash bowl with dish detergent. Keep swishing out the sudsy water until it fills back up clean |
