He has not defeated the latch system. Plenty of room for him to stand and move within the crate. Fourteen months old and Kennel looks and functions just as it did on day one. Answer:	Based on our experience, the answer probably is "it depends." For what it's worth, here are some notes on our experience.1/ We needed to fly from Seattle to Oslo with a 90 pound German Shepherd. 2/ Regulatory requirements re: crates are quite vague, and airlines implement the objectives ("comfortable," "safe," etc.) differently. But all of the constraints were based on height and length; we did not find an airline with a weight constraint. As for the height constraint, some airlines measure to the top of the ears sitting, while some measure to the top of the "head" (no clarification) standing. One airline measured length from tip-of-nose to tip-of-tail! At least for us, the airline (Iceland Air) could not accept this large crate at the airport. So we had to work with a freight company. At that point, you're subject to multiple entities' potentially different criteria (airline, freight co., FAA, IATA, and the USDA-equivalent in any country where you change planes). We decided to get something that would satisfy the strictest requirement. Ultimately, we found that the largest crate was the only way to make sure that our dog didn't get stranded en-route.3/ That said, the series 7 crate created some logistical issues. British Airways told us they could not accept the crate (regardless of the size fo the dog). American told us the same thing. United, Iceland Air, and SAS all provided quotes. Turns out that this crate would not fit on either a 737 or an A320! United only flies 737s into Oslo, but the freight rep was apparently unaware of the constraint. I can't imagine how screwed we would have been if we'd arrived at Heathrow planning to fly to Oslo on United. Anyway, if you do get the series 7 crate, make sure your entire journey is on sufficiently large aircraft. For us, that meant flying Iceland Air. They exclusively fly 757s, so we knew we'd be OK. Anyway, I hope some of this helps. This crate worked well for us, but it created additional administrative complexities for which some of the airline reps were unprepared. Good luck!!

Answer:	How many doors your kennel has is irrelevant. Go by the measurements given for the 24" pan or the 30" pan and if your kennel has those measurements, you're in business. Remember both sizes offered show the height of the pan as being 1", so make sure your kennel has at least a 1" unobstructed opening/clearance in which to slide the pan into your kennel.

Answer:	My 55 lb lab fits with room to spare. That being said she may be shorter than your dog. She is 19 inches tall and the crate is 26 inches high, by my measurements.

Question:	Can one add castors to roll the crate easily and safely if need be? If so, what castors are recommended
Answer:	If you are comfortable drilling through the floor and have a way to cap the screws/bolts to keep the puppies from hurting themselves on them - I guess you could. But I would recommend building more of a dolly (frame with 2x4s and 4 casters) and putting the cage on top of it, that way the flooring is supported in the middle and doesn't sag. And the bigger the casters, the better.

Answer:	There was no opening in the top of my crate. There is a large opening on the front and one on the side but nothing on the top.

Our 85-pound, 9-month-old Lab/Pit "puppy" (who is crate trained since he was 8 weeks old) figured it out the second night, jiggled the door open and ran amok in the house. The next night, I made sure those 'hooks' were securely in place and that the slidelock was fully engaged. Didn't do a bit of good. Now, I have to use multiple carabiners to keep the door from lifting off the hooks and the lock jiggling into an open position. I am NOT a happy camper and it makes the dog nuts when he's in the crate and I'm either trying to put him to bed or get him out in the morning. If the crate wasn't so dreadfully heavy (80+ lbs), I'd return it. It would cost a fortune to ship it back. Not pleased by the incorrect product description.

Answer:	It is the size of you puppy that is important, not the weight. Puppy should be able to turn around comfortably. Probably a large or extra large would work. The crate comes with a divider that works to shorten or lengthen the inside of the crate as your puppy grows. You might give a call to you veterinarian to find out which one would be best.

Answer:	My crate is a Midwest 1530 which measures 30 inches in length. This cover fits exactly. It would not fit a crate that is 36" long

However, in my opinion as a professional dog trainer for many years is never leave your dog in any place where the dog has any potential to be subjected to temperature extremes. I use this kennel cover exclusively from the fall through the winter, never in the summer, and only during the times when I am actively working with my dogs. I live in the northeast. The kennel is used inside my GMC Yukon XL for transport. I use this cover for the times when my Lab becomes wet and/or muddy from working. The cover helps to keep water and mud from being splattered all over the interior of the vehicle when my dog shakes off. This is a great cover for that purpose and I would recommend it as such.

Answer:	18 is depth. 14 is width 16 would be height. You could carry dog in that size I think. We had a big one for a golden and u couldn't carry the dog in it. It's flexible so it may depend on weight of dog. The floor in ours was a sturdy wood piece.

Answer:	Good l shaped latches made of heavy metal 2 latches per door and the weight is enough to hold the L shaped latch in place. Purchased for a bassett and she has never gotten out. The cage i got is good quality materials, good paint coating that has not chipped, no sharp edges, and only collapses when you chose to collapse it for storage. I plan to buy another for my other dog for traveling, they travel well if you dont have to do a lot of moving it around as they have a clip on handle that doesnt work well due to the size of the handle and the weight and size of the cage.
