The total length of the leash is 84" (7 feet - when the handle is not in use), so this length can be adjusted to any waist size and whatever length is left will be the length of leash available for your dog. So for example, if a waist is 48", the length left for walking the dog will be 36" (3 feet).

Answer:	I think they make some that plug into the seatbelt. Would use those. Not unless y can. Find something else to fasten them to. We love ours. Ambers sour 115 lb Rottyand it works great winner. She doesn't galette al tangld up.
Question:	Would this be able to prevent a dog from actually jumping out of open window? My dog is pretty well behaved in the car until she sees another dog
Answer:	First of all no one can make a guarantee that their device will prevent your dog from jumping out of the window. A responsible dog owner must make those decisions for his/her pet. I bought this device for my 8 lb Chiweenie. He was 3 months when I rescued him. I didn't want him jumping in the front of the truck. He just turned a year old and he has mellowed out. My 100 lb lab I would never put this device on if I didn't want my backseats torn out when or if he decided to take a leap of faith. Good luck.

Answer:	The zip lines fastens to the hand holds on each side of the vehicle. The leash has multiple loops sewn into it so you can adjust the length from the zip line to your dog, just enough to stick his head out but not the body. I would recommend using with the kurgo harness. Both products have held up well for two years thus far. Having said this I still keep my window up partially.
