Question:	Do thsese connectors restrict the water flow? They appear to have a reducer at one end
Answer:	I bought one for $296 and after I got it my husband wanted another, so I went to order it and it was $349, the a couple days later is was $399 and continued to go up to $648. Gardena didn't have any in stock. Then I saw it for $298 and ordered it on Saturday 7/4, but it's back up today. Don't understand it.

Answer:	No, not directly. The lag screws are 4.5 inches apart. But perhaps you could mount a wider piece of wood to the 4x4 and then attach the Gardena to that.

Answer:	reducer at END will not restrict flow, unless you do not have sufficient pressure.
Question:	How long will the battery last and can it be replaced. Obviously I know nothing about lithium batteries! thanks
Answer:	It is the hose diameter. The most common residential size is 5/8. The diameter determine the flow rate. The connectors will be standard and will fit the hose you have. It's basically saying anything over 5/8 you will not get the higher flow rate or pressure.
Question:	Warranty
Answer:	yes, you can BUT shut off your water supply valve before you do, I use a simple on-off, valve on hose end to save steps, rather than walking back and forth
Question:	what happens if battery dies
Answer:	Gardena uses seals that might dry out over time. Open the control box, take carefully out the seal and put on it some diving lubrication. Put the seal carefully back were it belongs and srew the box back together again. It should fix the problem.Cheers Dennis

Question:	How do I use the flow control on this water timer
Answer:	Flow control can only used in manual mode not timed mode. Meaning, if the faucet is turned on all the way, you can use this unit to meter water instead of disconnecting it, using the faucet, then reconnecting it. But when the timer opens, it just lets the amount of water through that the faucet is set to let through.
Question:	Is this manufactured in the US
Answer:	I believe they are manufactured in Europe.

Answer:	You manually set this timer each time you use it. I have this connected to the fill line for my pool. This lets me run the water for a specific amount of time without worrying about forgetting to shut it off.

Answer:	Only outside faucet's substantially higher water pressure will activate the sprinkler. The rain barrel pressure is just too low to do any good.

Answer:	It can be set to go in only 'one direction', if what you mean is that is goes less than a full 180 degree of oscillation. For example, I have one set up so that it will spray straight up vertically and goes down horizontal with the ground, only only one side (a 90 degree oscillation). This is handy if you have it next to an area that you don't want watered.

Answer:	I've never done it, but there's a cap on the other side from the water inlet. I presume one removes this cap and makes the connection there.

Answer:	This is considered as a "Hose Thread". Hose thread is standard throughout the industry.It is specific to a garden hose only. It is 3/4GHT (garden hose thread) not 3/4 NPT (national Pipe Thread) . Hope it helps you.

Answer:	No. To connect your hose to the faucet or hose bib you need what Gardena calls a "tap connector". The metal one costs $13.75, the plastic one costs $6.62. On the hose end you need a 39017 female garden hose connector at $11.15. They're all kind of pricey but, in my experience, they don't leak like most any other QD out there.

Answer:	Yes, but remember that the putty is not the only bonding surface, I would make sure there is sufficient wood surface around the putty for bonding to other wood. It does dry quite hard but may not adhere to your glue. Try a test run first.

Question:	does connector have a metal spring
Answer:	Spring is not visible, but based on the feel I would guess it is. I have owned some of these for over 20 years and have never had one fail. I have 3 other major manufactures of these and the Gardena's are the best.
Question:	I must turn off h20, take off the orange piece, screw it back on in order to switch from noz to sprinkler. Why? Missing a part
Answer:	1. The orange piece is a female part and some of them have inner part that blocks the flow of h20 when not connected to the male connector. If the orange piece does not have that blocking part, yes you have to shut off and turn on again when you reconnect to the sprinkler male part. So you need to get a different orange part that block the h20. If you cannot get that part, find a small hand valve that will fit on your hose that the orange piece will thread into and use it to shut of the h20 when you are changing or you can crimp the hose, if it is a good flexible hose and make the change.
Question:	What's the inlet and outlet
Answer:	The fittings for garden hoses are a standard 3/4" fittings; mostly in brass. The same size end is used on all U.S. garden hoses regardless if they are 1/2" hoses or 1" hoses. Most garden hoses are 5/8" with still the same 3/4" fittings. The Gardena adapters screw onto those hose ends and fit all U.S. garden hoses. Remember, hose fittings are not the same as house pipe fittings. They use a different standard: GHT (garden hose thread) vs NPT (national pipe thread)
Question:	Does the 36944 fit a 3/4" hose? It does not specify in the description
Answer:	The fittings are the same for a 5/8" and 3/4" hose, just the hose itself is a different size. If they were not, you couldn't connect a 3/4" hose to the faucets on your house. All the Gardena fittings fit both; not to worry.

Answer:	Yes, as long as you use a spliter (double-headed attachment to the hose bib.
Question:	My sprinkler is getting stuck spraying in 1 direction at times. Is there any way to fix this easily
Answer:	I don't have too much experience with this, but I do have this sprinkler and haven't encountered such problem. However, I've had a rotating sprinkler that would get stuck in 1 direction and it was because the water pressure was too low. Possibly with this sprinkler too the water pressure needs to be high enough. The water pressure for sprinklers generally needs to be greater than for drip irrigation, for which the pressure needs to be controlled and reduced.
Question:	What is the warranty and has anyone had to send one back? Thanks
Answer:	We have 6 Gardena sprinklers and absolutely love them. We had two that were out of warranty and I sent the company an e-mail asking if there was a part available to repair them. They responded and asked me to return them and they would send me new ones. The new ones arrived in about 2 weeks. I highly recommend Gardena sprinklers.
Question:	will this hook up to my garden hose or do I need a connector or something
Answer:	It comes with everything you need to hook up to your hose. They don't describe it very well in their packaging so do not buy the additional accessories.

Answer:	No, you can adjust the water flow and intensity by turning the upper part of the nozzle. From a mist to powerful stream and totally off. We like it.
Question:	Does this fit the smaller 1/2 inch hose diameters like Hozelock
Answer:	Yes, it should fit. I don't know what "Hozelock" is, but the end of the hose where the nozzles connect are all the same size, regardless of the hose diameter (i.e. 1/2" or 5/8").

Answer:	The starting ratio is 1 part water to 3 parts GoodFilla. Then you can add liquid or powder to adjust the thickness to your ideal viscosity. A 12lb bag will do approximately 650 square feet when mixed at the starting ratio.
Question:	hose diameter
Answer:	You can use either the CLEAR grain-filler or the powder walnut filler individually or a combination of the two. It will depend on how big the pores are on your Brazilian walnut. We recommend a seal-coat of shellac on the bare wood surface and then the CLEAR grain filler and/or the walnut filler. If you are not satisfied with your finish after the first coat, you can reapply the products between coats until you get the finish you desire.

Answer:	No the battery is that gray thing on the top. My battery went bad after 3 years. I can only find it in Canada and they want $225.00 for one plus shipping. It is ridiculous.

Answer:	The batteries last for a 2 weeks before they need to be recharged. I bought this product for my elderly mother last summer (2013) and she's gotten plenty of use. The hose is a little thin but I generally like Gardena products, although I always recommend upgrading to the Premium metal attachments over the plastic ones. Overall, I give his product a 4.5

Answer:	If the battery dies you are left with the option of paying $150 for an OEM battery replacement or $30 for a cheap China Knock-off that you will be lucky if it lasts one summer. For that reason I do not recommend this product at all.
