Answer:	This ramp is very short and ended up being too steep for my dogs to climb up it into the back of our Honda Pilot. I even tried using it to get them into the back seat of our Subaru Legacy, but they wouldn't even try it. I'm really disappointed.

Answer:	Ramps generally come with fold capability. Yours is a large dog and I think he should have the large (71") ramp. I was looking at a 32" bi-fold (opens to 72" or so) for my 48 lb collie/sheepdog. Biggest problem here is that it will be heavy to carry, open, and "install" in a car. I very much liked the artificial grass-like surface for keeping the pup from slipping. Good luck.

Answer:	Not exactly sure the dimensions when folded. However, it will NOT fit on any floorboard. I drive a 2014 Subaru Forester and folded it still took up half my space in the back of my SUV which is mid-size. Also, it will slip when unfolded for the dog to use. The little strap to secure it pulled off mine with just 1 use. Then my dog which is a Dogo refused to use it. Good not even once and yes if you have a large sized dog, it is a waste of money.

Answer:	After checking out a lot of ramps we bought the extra wide 72" tri-fold ramp so that it would be easier and less scary for my dog to go up and down. Using treats on and off for 2 days and he now runs up to get his treats. I weigh 140 pounds and have walked up and down a good number of times without any issue. We stayed away from the shorter ramps as I made one and the incline was too steep. The Pet Gear ramp we bought has a surface that has great traction. Check around, but their big ramp is great.

Question:	Can this be left outdoors in the rain in Florida
Answer:	I don't know about Florida, but we live in the Pacific Northwest, and I have been driving around with it in the back of my pickup for the past 3 years, and it is still in great shape. It rains alot here in the winter, and it can get pretty cold, plus it gets hot in the summer, and I have not had any problems with it cracking or warping, and the traction surface has not peeled off at all.

Answer:	the sandpaper surface was too abrasive for my dog's pads, so I put velcro and carpet on it for traction. That wouldn't work in water. Also I have found that the ramp slips around where it's edge rests on the tailgate and I have to hold it steady. This wouldn't work very well for a boat...even more slippery. pick something with good rubber feetPS...edited this post to include saying that if your dog is under 40lbs it should work fine if you attach better rubber grips to the "boat end" of the ramp

Find the specs for this ramp - the length, specifically. Then use a a stiff tape measure or something of equal length at the rear of your Outback to the ground to approximate the angle. That way, you can be the judge of whether your dog can handle it.Additionally, there is a world of dog ramps out there, widths & lengths. Maybe your dog needs a longer one (and therefore a less steep angle.) You'll have to figure that out.Good wishes.

Answer:	Yes, the ramp works great. I used it by my patio door for a dog that had arthritis and knee problems. The only one problem is that in the winter, I had to bring the ramp inside so it could thaw out from time to time. Otherwise it acted like slide for my dogs. Great product!

Answer:	I am considering buying this ramp and have read most of the reviews before I make my decision. I just read a review dated 2011 that these sharp edges have since been corrected and the once sharp edges are now a sturdy protective plastic.

Answer:	I measured the height of my wife's Jeep - two feet to edge of back (aft) floor. Nine year old, overweight cocker, after one initial try, goes up and down easily. If the height of your vehicle (3 feet) creates too steep an incline, gluing some traction strips might help. The ramp is very versatile, but we still guard the dog, ascending and descending.

Answer:	I have a 19 lb. 19" chest Havanese/Bichon mix and I had to get a small and adjust it tighter so that he could not slip out of the part that goes around his head. To me they run a bit big. They do have adjustability in 4 places, 1 around each side of the neck and one on either side of the chest. I think a medium will work for you in the Barkbay brand. They do have measurement and size charts to make sure.
Question:	What are the actual steps made from? They look like fabric
Answer:	I have not had this issue with my dog wearing this harness and she has worn it several times. From what you describe, it sounds as though it may be a size issue. The front clasps are closer to my dog's neck as opposed lower toward her legs. Try adjusting the harness so the front metal clasps sit higher.

Answer:	Depending on how high your bed maybe. This ramp may not be stable enough putting it on the bed. The steeper the ramp angle the more difficult it will be for your dog. My 12 yr old dog can just make it up the ramp into my SUV. However, the ramp does help. I use it for the front steps outside my house. I hope this helps you. Remember there is a learning curve for your dog using the ramp. Good luck!
Question:	can this ramp be used on the back seat car door? or just the back
Answer:	When in it's folded position, it is 8 inches high (16x26 inches wide/long) and is sturdy enough to use as a step stool for my 67lb older dog to get in to the back seat of the SUV. It does not fit as a ramp to the back seat of my Outlander, it tips and is unsafe - the door does not open wide enough to set it securely. I use the ramp for loading him in the back of the SUV and the folded stool for getting him in the back seat.
Question:	Has anyone used one of these with a Transport? My pitbull is having trouble getting in and out of the truck these days, being that he's going on
Answer:	Training and training. Just outside our back door for a couple of weeks so when our pets go out 3 or 4 times a day as they walk on it while exiting and entering the house. Their used to it when they enter or exit the truck. (2 big labs and a west highland terrier) 👍

Question:	What kind of metal is used? I need something that won't rust
Answer:	not sure what the metal is but it is heavy duty and sturdy. we use one of our sets of stairs for the car/van and is subjected to rain, sand at the beach etc. it has held up very well in the few months we have used it. the second set of stairs is kept for internal use, getting into beds and onto furniture an hotel visits, etc, mainly to keep it clean. basically we love these and they accommodate an 80 lb german shepherd very well.
Question:	How about strong enough for a 185lb english mastiff
Answer:	It may be strong enough, however, I wouldn't trust it. My dog is about 90 pounds, and he doesn't like the give on it. He goes up it, but doesn't like it.
Question:	Does this come with boards in the steps
Answer:	No, the steps are stretched fabric (canvas i think). However, they are quite stable and don't give much. My dogs are in the 50-60lb range and the steps don't move at all when the dogs are on them.
Question:	Can this carry an xl dog like a great dane? 140 lbs
Answer:	Yes the heavy duty steps will hold a Dane. I have a 130+ lb Dane that uses this although she was a bit timid at first due to it being slightly narrow. But after a few tries it’s now no problem.

Answer:	For the trunk it works 100%, the width of ladder is 20 inch so you need to measure the entrance of your back door, but I’ll test the ladder on a Honda CR-V and I’ll tell you for sure
