Answer:	I cut the tails off before I give them to my cats, and I strongly suggest you do too. I have noticed at least one of my cats tugging at the tail, but even if I hadn't seen that I would still cut the tails off. Better safe than sorry.

Also says "Manufactured for Worldwise, Inc, Novato CA"...My cats have ignored this toy even though both love catnip & one loves balls. I was disappointed they didn't like it but now that I see it's made in China I'm kinda glad.
