Answer:	Its real dehydrated meat. But I won't buy any more. The beef package had several actual beef fat chunks in it so I returned it. Then later I bought just the Turkey separately, and it smelled rancid. I just tossed it and decided not any good.

Answer:	They are literally just small chunks of freeze-dried meat. The disadvantage to them is that they are very brittle so by the bottom of the bag it's practically powder but dogs love them. I'll take them with me to the dog park and almost every time a dog will notice them and try to stick their nose into my treat pouch. My boyfriend's cat will even eat them and comes around when I pull them out.

Answer:	Definitely perfectly fine for cats. My kittens, as others have said, love this treat. I don't break it into smaller pieces though as our vet said kitties' canine teeth are specifically used for ripping/shredding prey and it's good for them to do. One gets "growly" while eating, meaning he growls in low tones indicating it's HIS prey and he loves it which makes me very happy. Oftentimes he'll bat it around before devouring.

Answer:	I have an 11 year old chihuahua (7 pounds) with a few missing teeth, some pieces take her a little while, but she has never had a problem with them. My definition is crunchy, not so much "hard". Freeze dried anything is not going to be soft. I ordered the slabs once, and easily cut them up with giant scissors I have for such projects. Pruning sheers would cut easily too.

Answer:	Great question, I don't have a bag in front of me but probably about 15-20, most slices are pretty big but sizes are going to vary in the bag. These are all natural with minimal processing, are just dehydrated sweet potato slices of a potato.

Answer:	The only ingredient is sweet potatoes, period. What I have found is that they don't last a long time. If they are not 100% dried then they tend to mold. I like Pet Eden Sweet Potatoes, have never had a problem with them. Also in season I buy 40-50 lbs of sweet potatoes, bake for 1 hour in the oven then put in zip locks in the freezer. They last for up to a year. When I take out a few bake for another hour or so depending upon size and then slice up and put on the dry kibble. The doggies love them, sweet potatoes have lots of fiber and are excellent for the dogs.
Question:	About how many slices are in a bag
Answer:	They are hard. I don't think they would work for an older dog, especially with limited teeth.

Answer:	ALL of this brand's products are sourced from within the USA from their own farms (which include American farms contracted). As someone who's tried several other major suppliers of similar products (and as a chef for over 25 yrs), Auguson comes out on top EVERY time. The vegetables rehydrate to the crisp you'd expect from FRESH, so if you use them in soups even after rehydrating first, remember to still boil and simmer just as long as fresh to soften. Dont be surprised if their products look like tiny shreds and flakes, once properly rehydrated the "shreds" expand into average sized dices. I've tried out most of their available offerings, and never been disappointed. My one recommendation is that you rehydrate SLOWLY don't just dump in all the water at once. Rehydrate them in the amount you need, adding a bit of the water at a time(hot water, except for potato products where warm water and time gives the best results), JUST until you get back to that fresh firmness. Plan the rehydration ahead to coincide with when you need them rehydrated.

In our refrigerated kitchen, RAW human grade wild-caught sockeye salmon is cut into our dog treats. Still frozen, our salmon is placed into our freeze drying chamber.

Made Fresh & Pure - Step 2

Once in the chamber, temperatures are brought down even further, and ice is gently removed from our salmon through sublimation in a vacuum. This method forces the ice to transition into vapor and water is gently drawn out of our treats. From start to finish, our freeze drying process can take up to 24 hours to complete.

Answer:	I currently have a bag of this product. I saw someone mentioned that it says made in the U.S. on the back of the package. The bag does not say made in the U.S. On the back of the bag at the bottom there is the corporation information which appears to be located in the U.S. This does not mean the dog treats were made in the U.S. If they are made in the U.S. I am surprised it is not clearly stated on the label.
Question:	How many calories
Answer:	Depends on the individual pieces in the package. Some break easily, while others do not. Completely up to which cut it is. I have a small dog, and break it into small pieces by hand before giving it to him. But if you have a big dog, and are afraid it breaks really easily it doesn't. If you are looking for something more like a rawhide, it will not last as long as that. More of a snack than a "chewie"
