She was fine. He had an upset stomach for a couple hours but is otherwise just fine. It's supposed to be safe but better to move them out of the spray area so they don't breath the mist

Answer:	I think it can .I've used it for at least a year to correct my cats behavior .I've never sprayed it directly on the floor .I've sprayed it near the coffee table, the kitchen counters and the carpeting and it's never left a residue or oily spots anywhere .It's to correct a cat's behavior when he's in the act of doing something wrong .it's not a repellant or anything like that .The noise alone when you spray it is what scares them and it leaves a calming smell in the room .I just have to show him the can and he behaves himself

Answer:	Catching him in the act is the best because it also makes a noise they don't like, but the scent will also deter him, not sure how long the scent lasts. Answer:	I read somewhere that a deterrent is more effective with cats if they don't realize you're administering it (because cats will quickly figure out that they can get away with the behavior when you're not around). These cans are really small and easy to conceal in a few places around the house. You can spray it near the cats without them knowing it was you that caused the loud interruption. Supposedly, they will associate the startling sound with the unwanted behavior, without realizing you had anything to do with it.
