Answer:	No. It fits in an alcove. It has three open sides and the enclosed front that you see in the picture.

Answer:	The bottom of the tub will not need to be reinforced. Please note that the entire bottom of tub should set into 3”-4” of mortar to prevent creaking and cracking and all tub feet should be Immersed in the mortar bed. Leveling on all 4 sides will help prevent water pooling.
