Answer:	We've used it when it was 23 degrees as a low and it took 7 hours to warm our tank. We do love it after we used it properly & gave it time.

Answer:	The height is 11 inches. The length is approximately 45 inches. I don't know for sure if it would work on a rubber bucket, but it does get quite warm so it might be able to keep water above freezing even though a thick bucket.
