Answer:	Screw all telescoping handles together, and attach them to the vacuum unit. Screw a water hose to the vacuum unit. Attach the collection bag to the top of the vacuum unit. If you have a lot of small debris you can attach a women's pantyhose cut short inside the collection bag. This arrangement works fine for me.

How to find a replacement cartridge for your pool or spa?

If you already know your filter cartridge's part number or the replacement number, you can use the search the part number on our product page to quickly confirm whether the filter is compatible.

If you do not know the replacement part number for your cartridge, then choosing the right cartridge can be accomplished by measuring your existing one. Use the following steps as a guide:

1. Measure the outside diameter of the cartridge in inches (+/- 1/16).
2. Measure cartridge length from end cap to end cap (+/- 1/16). Exclude any handles or extensions.
3. Identify the correct top and bottom type. If the top and/or bottom is open, measure the inside diameter of the opening (+/- 1/16th inch). If the end cap is closed make note of its identifying features (i.e. “Handle”, “Cone”, etc.).
4. Make note of the manufacturer and model number of the filter into which the replacement cartridge will be installed.
5. Take note whether or not there is a center core (PVC pipe in center).

Answer:	I have the round 12' w x 30" h pool that came with the 530 gph filter pump that has 1 1/4" hoses and this 1000 gph pump was a direct replacement. No hose adapters were needed. I'm not exactly sure what the model number is of the 530 gph pump but the hoses fit perfectly onto this pump. All I did was plug the inlet/outlet openings in the pool with the plugs that came with the pool and swapped out the pump. Took 5 minutes. I found a lot of the reviews here confusing because some seemed to indicate that hose adapters would be necessary but that turned out not to be the case. I'm pretty happy with this pump. Works waaaay better than the 530 gph.

Answer:	Just arrived. Includes pump, two hoses and directional inlet. NO outlet fittings and NO plunger valves. In addition, for anyone making a "hillbilly pool" with a stock tank, this cannot pull water over the top. The best I can see, holes will need to be cut in the side so water can flow down into the pump.

Answer:	Yes, the lid can be hard to get off of the pump. What I use to make it easier is "O-Ring Lube", available at pool supply stores. Apply a thin coating to all mating surfaces and the O-ring seal. One other item I use is a strainer basket in the pool surface strainer, it catches most the leaves, so cleaning the basket on the pump doesn't have to be that often. Hope it helps you.

Answer:	I don’t think you can. It’s a factory warranty and if you install it I have read that the factory warranty isn’t honored when I read other customers responses. If it’s installed by a pool company it’s honored.

Answer:	I use them for my 9000 Canon photo printer, not sure about the Pixma but it should say right on your spec sheet what cartridges are required. That info will also be on their website

Answer:	I really doubt that it would. The Canon cartridges mostly look the same until you actually try to install them, then subtle differences become apparent, or your machine will simply not recognize it. I think you need the 540XL instead.

Answer:	The clear cartridge has a two part tank with the front part holding the liquid ink and the back part filled with fiber (similar to cotton balls). The printer will stop when the liquid part is empty and this is very visible. The back part will still be filled to the top with brightly colored fiber and this seems to annoy some people.

Answer:	It is the best thing I have bought so far for our spa. We also use it in our small intex pool.

Answer:	Yes, this little hand held pump will vacuum up anything that is not attached to the interior of the tub itself. It easily sucks up sediment, hairs, floating debris and tiny specks. As long as you can see the debris, it picks it up. It also has a little screen inside that prevents it from getting back into the tub.

Answer:	Just the suction area. It might work well for that. Definitely not good enough for the bottom of a hot tub.

Answer:	The bottle comes apart with a screen that keeps the dirt and grit from going back into the spa..I rinse the junk out, clean the screen and put it back together. Works great for us.
