Answer:	I stopped using mine as it was having no effect on evaporation or heating the pol, I went back to the solar cover. I'm told 4oz was to cover an area of 680sq ft so I used 5 oz for 720 sq ft which is what my pool area was and it had no effect at all.

Answer:	No did not gum my filters at all , but the product only works marginally at best keeps some water from evaporating but does not keep the water warm on cold nights, save your money and buy a cover,

Answer:	This product is not irritating or dangerous. Swimming can be done right away.

Answer:	Absolutely, have used in my salt water pool for about a year. You'll most likely notice reduced evaporation first. A side effect of evaporation is cooling, so there is also a slightly less loss of temperature. Here in So Fl. we use it in the fall and spring. Winter here (w/solar heating) requires a "bubble plastic" solar cover to use pool year round. Up north I would use it all summer long. Here in Summer the pool is often close to 94/95 w/o any cover and solar heat shut down, so we just run the deck jets and replace the water evaporation when it doesn't rain enough to keep the pool filled and temp down below 90. I like this product and use it a lot; it isn't magic, but it sure helps reduce water evaporation (just for the record, we also use 50ppm borate in the pool water as well). Also I have found after the first 2 doses, I only need to add more product every other week (if you had kids and loads of splash out) then maybe you might need to add more each week.

Answer:	It does have a reinforced border but no metal grommets, but it does have heavy duty, thick vinyl/plastic tabs that the cable runs through and is a much better design than the pool cover we got, that does have the metal grommet (half of which pulled out after the first year of use). We have been very pleased with our leaf cover and it has met our needs quite well...seems to be a good product. It is on the pool now and this is our second year of use...we'll take it off after all (most) of the leaves have fallen. I do recommend this product.

Answer:	It should still help to retain heat. My experience is different. My 21 foot round cover is a bit larger than surface of the pool. Seems like a good question to pose to the manufacturer.

Answer:	Solar covers have an added bonus of being able to raise the temperature of a pool, but this is dependent on multiple factors. Ambient temperature, length of time in direct sunlight, amount of sunlight, length of consistent use. Depending on these factors, and others, it can take a couple weeks before there is a noticeable change.

Answer:	The cover floats on the water. The surface tension of the water keeps it from blowing away. I live in the high desert and the wind blows everyday and sometimes it roars non stop for days at a time. I have never had my solar blanket blow off.

Answer:	When I had a rectangular pool I went to my local packaging supply house and bought the same blue material. It only lasted two seasons but that’s all I get out of this one anyway.

Answer:	The purpose of the cover is to heat the water in the pool. It floats on top of the water and there are no holes in it. Rain does not affect it and there is no need for drainage.

Answer:	No, but I'm not certain how you would use ties. We've used solar blankets for almost 30 years but never any ties.
Question:	how much will it raise the temperature of a 16 x
Answer:	Noticeably different I'd say doing it consistently for 5 days or so has raised it at least 10 degrees. I roll it up in the morning and cover it at night. Even at current weather (upper 70's in So Cal), I put the blanket on for couple days during evening time, temperature increased. If you want warmer pool without installing a heater, definitely get it. Just remember to uncover during the day (or at least during time when the filter is running) and cover it before sun down.
Question:	can you cut this pool cover to fit or does it have to stay the length that it comes
Answer:	Yes it can be trimmed to fit your pool. However, you will probably need to replace it within two years because it WILL fall apart and the company does not stand behind the warranty.

The only caveat is that you should cut it with a heat knife, relatively inexpensive and will prolong the use of this material for many years. Otherwise, since it is woven it will unravel. I have used it for 2 years with excellent results in my vegetable garden and plan to use it around my home as a permanent weed block covered with wood chips.
