Answer:	It's very quiet or silent. If you put it in a box with no ventilation, the fans will turn on. Even a closet will heat up if there's nowhere for the air to move. This is overkill for just 4 APs; Zyxel makes dirt-cheap POE switches for less money that are fanless and will do precisely what you need. If you feel that you need the 10g ports, then I'd question why you can't also find a more suitable location for the switch.
