How long can I leave my Dolphin in the pool?

We recommend taking your Dolphin out of the pool after each use to empty and rinse the filters and to rinse off any excess chemicals. It is ideal to keep your Dolphin out of the pool and stored away when not in use. If your Dolphin has a weekly scheduler, you can keep it in your pool for a week, but you will need to make sure the filter is cleaned.

How to take the robot out of the pool?

Gently pull on the blue floating cable to bring your Dolphin to the edge of the pool. Once your Dolphin is in reach, grasp the handle to pull the robot out of the water. Place the robot on the edge of the pool to let the remaining water drain out. Do not pull the Dolphin out of the water using the cable.

How to use the power supply

Make sure the power supply is placed at least 12 feet from the edge of the pool. Connect the floating cable to the power supply, align the lug on the connector with the notch of the plug on the power supply, then turn clockwise. Press the ON/OFF button on the power supply to begin cleaning. The power supply for your Dolphin is not waterproof- it is water resistant. When in use, make sure it was either stored on the caddy or far away from the pool, so it does not get pulled in. Always use an electrical outlet protected with a Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) device; this will protect your Dolphin from surges in power. Do not use an extension cord or surge protector to power your Dolphin.

How to store/roll/operate cable

When you Dolphin is in use, only release enough of the cable for your Dolphin to properly cover your pool. Leave the excess cable loosely rolled outside of the pool. When storing your Dolphin on a caddy, carefully wrap the cable so it does not have any kinks and place it around the top of the caddy. Once a week, unplug the cable from the power supply and unwind the tangled portions of the cable, straighten it out and leave in the sun for a few hours. This will help remove any tangling or kinks.

Question:	can the ranger be used in an inground pool
Answer:	It will will work with any normal sand filter pump I would think. I have two different filter-pumps for my pool because I have one of them on a salt water chlorinator. One pump is a 1 hp and I think the other is 1.5 hp. Anyway it works great when hooked to either one.
Question:	What size pump does it require
Answer:	You hook it up to the same place where you would attach the hose for vacuuming the pool manually, and you put the lid into the skimmer basket so that the vacuum will have suction, just like you would if you were vacuuming manually. Hope that helps.

Answer:	Yes, it comes with a new wiring pigtail if you need to cut off and replace your current wiring pigtail. If you are replacing a KN COSM IB unit, you will not need the wiring pigtail as you will be able to plug the new unit into the existing connector you have installed.

Answer:	Both of my KN-COSM-1B just shut down. It's like a bad battery chirp every 30 seconds meaning the alarms are too old when you replace the battery and it continues to chirp. The date on the back is Nov. 2012 which would be less than 8 years. If the instructions say 10 years, that is incorrect or an improvement from the 2012 model that lasted a little over 7 years.

Answer:	Jeez. All pool cleaners get jammed every once and a while from debris, leaves, twigs being sucked into the mechanism. If you're going to buy and use your own equipment, you need to learn how to clean out anything it sucked up. With my pine trees, I might have to clean it once a week. To the other people replying--don't blame the product if you don't know how to use it. And yes, if you can't figure out how to clean it, do take it to a pool store. They'll probably show you for free, so great advice from the vendor. Yup, you do have to change the oil in your car, clean your furnace filter, and unclog your drains every once in a while.

Answer:	It goes on your return, unscrew and remove the ball. And add this flow director.

Answer:	Yes. It comes with about 30' of hose that comes in 3' sections that snap together. My experience with this snap-together hose is that it allows quite a bit of air in the pump no matter how tight the pieces are put together.
Question:	Anybody know where yo buy an adapter to screw onto intex pool fitting
Answer:	Not sure that's strong enough. We got a 4500 gph sand filter pump and it works awesome with that. It did not work with the pump that came with the pool.
Question:	We just ordered new shoes for Wanda but while installing we noticed that two springs were missing. Where can I get replacement springs

Answer:	If you mean the basket screws onto the pump, then this does. The intake and out takes both are threaded. The lid is a quarter turn.
