The cross beams are sturdy but they aren't structural and any heavy fixture would eventually bow the center pieces. Answer:	No. The only area where this item can be assembled is a sloped grass lawn with the lowest elevation being 8 to 9 inches from the highest elevation. I cannot have 9 inches of concrete protruding from the ground just to level off the pergola. That will be prone to kids tripping off from the pedestal.
