Answer: I ordered the same cap. I got the number from the B&S parts manual for my engine. It fit very loosely and leaked worse than the original. Amazon was nice enough to send me a second one but it was defective as well. I went to a hardware store and put a rubber O-ring on the cap so it contacts the seat of the gas tank for a tight seal. It is very tight but keeps the gas from spilling out from the vibration of the engine and mowing movement.
