Question:	Can this be used on top of a box truck to melt ice
Answer:	On the 200' length there were way more clips than were needed. Keep in mind that you don't need clips for the length of the cable that's running through the gutter and the downspouts. Then if you're clipping it every 18" at the turns, you're going to run out of cable long before you run out of clips. You should have no need to buy extras.
Question:	Can you use these on scuppers to keep them from forming ice blocks
Answer:	I believe that it draws five watts per foot. So my 100 foot cable draws 500 watts, more if it were longer.
Question:	Can you connect multiple mats together? I need several of these but wouldn’t have enough outlets if it is 1 to
Answer:	It's nearly impossible to keep them from touching due to the cable being packaged in a coil causing it to twist and touch and also because of bends in the downspouts. I install a lot of these and they always twist and touch.You can install 1 wire spacer per 12-18 inches to (while doubling the cable) but you would have to purchase more wires and clips.Using a thermostat will keep them from getting hot enough to matter. They wear out faster when not using a thermostat because they run longer and at higher temperatures.

Answer:	This really depends on what batteries you are running in it. The 2.5 ACH batteries won't last as long as the 10.0 ACH. I have the 5.0 ACH batteries, and they have more than enough run time to do my sidewalk, driveway, backyard, and a couple of my neighbor's houses as well, with power to spare.

Question:	Can this mat be placed under flat stones to heat the stones
Answer:	Depends on the placement of the matting. Remember these two things; Water flows downhill and if you have snow on your roof and it melts, you need to give a path in which to flow. Typical application of heat cable is from the lower roof edge, up the roof just past the inside of the home's exterior wall (average home may be three feet up from the roof edge). The cable will melt the snow and ice and then flow it down to the roof edge. If you just laid this mat on the roof edge, you will be fine on just the width of the matting and an ice dam may still for above that, if the matting does not go far enough up the roof; that's where cable is the best and will give the melt a path to flow. Keeping warm air out of an attic and keeping it cold is the best way to prevent ice dams and minimize the need for cable or matting.
Question:	Can i use this on my deck that is trek decking
Answer:	You could if you installed it beneath the ramp, in other words, on the backside of the ramp. Just keep the cable protected and definitely use a thermostat. If it is a wood ramp it may not heat up very well so you would need to use more cable. The tricky part would be getting it to stay attached to the ramp.

Answer:	It gets really warm, but not hot. I actually bought mine to wrap around a water hose for watering my horses in the winter because I couldn't get a heated hose long enough. It did not melt the hose but it kept the water from freezing in it. It worked great for what I bought it for!

Answer:	I don't sell them so I don't know if you can buy it any other way. The wheels can pop out in heavy jobs. I found them and popped them back in. I think the rake works well and has paid for itself with all the snow we have been getting.

Answer:	I do not have solar panels on my roof, and my thought would to let the snow melt by it self, but if I were going to use a snow rake, it would be this one. I found an article on the web that referenced this snow rake for snow removal on solar panels. http://news.cnet.com/8301-11128_3-10156471-54.html If you were to use it you would have to be very, very careful to be sure that the bottom of the blade was lowered so the sharp corners of the rake do not touch the panels. Also, if you received heavy resistance when pulling the rake down, I would stop and lift it off rather than putting extra possible pressure on the panels. Good luck.

Answer:	Elisabeth I purchased this rake some time ago... I would not personally use it on any material softer than a roof... It is made of aluminum with a strong edge. You should be able to modify the rake by putting a some type of plastic type adhesive tape along the edge to protect the cloth material.

Answer:	Yes..I push ...just like a Regular shovel scooping snow. I’m a 60 year old, full time care giver and shoveling snow her in SD is no easy task.. great little shovel..if found it was very easy assembly

Answer:	I have both. The 13 is superior. It has a much larger diameter auger than this one. This one is belt driven and fairly high RPM, but extremely small diameter auger. The scraper blade on this one is SUPER sharp to the point that it catches on wood by digging into it. At least compared to the 13 which glides over pallets and other wooden surfaces. The 13 has a gearbox driven brushed motor instead of belt. The 13 is louder because of it, but the torque provided by the gear reduction along with the larger auger makes it the better machine. It's a little heaver, and the 11 has a nicer handle with less sharp edges. Most people will use gloves with these though so that isn't a big deal. I buy these shovels for the batteries when they are on sale, so I have quite a few of them. The 13 is my pick for sure. The 11 spins super fast but halts almost instantly when put against crusty or heavy snow. The 13 is much harder to stall. The main difference Snow Joe wants you to be aware of is simply that the 13SS clears a 13" path, while the 11SS-XR clears an 11" path. The XR simply means that it has Snow Joe's largest 24v LTE battery at 5.0AH. Why? I have absolutely no idea. I only use 2.0 AH batteries on my shovels and the larger batteries for my sunjoe chainsaw, mower, and snowjoe 18" snow blower.

Answer:	I would not use it on loose gravel as it will more than likely cause the blade to bind up. You will also be throwing gravel 20ft. in front of you.

Answer:	The auger blades are made of ABS plastic but they never touch the surface under the shovel. There is an ABS plastic scraper under the unit that scrapes the snow up and forces it into the auger blade. It's exactly the same thing as using a regular plastic snow shovel. So if your deck handles a normal shovel this won't damage it either.

Answer:	Warning ! I have a corded snow shovel . If you use this over rock , gravel . Be ready to replace some Windows !!! It hurls small rocks like a shotgun . I found out the hard way !
